S-CAPE TRAVEL - EMAIL: INFO@S-CAPETRAVEL.EU - TELEPHONE +34 985846455 - WWW.S-CAPETRAVEL.EU style : level : duration : comfort : period: code: WALKING Selfguided 8 days May Jun Jul Aug Sep Oct ESSW038 Picos de Europa 8-day mini-trek - Spain Unspoiled natural beauty in northern Spain 8 days, price from 470 The Picos de Europa National Park and its authentically rural territory of unspoiled natural beauty An endless variety of ever-changing landscapes: idyllic pastures, wide glacier valleys, rushing streams and fantastic limestone mountains Incredibly diverse flora adorning every square inch of the park Welcoming accommodation in tiny villages & one mountain hut The Picos de Europa are probably the most surprising mountainous destination in all of Europe. This tiny range yet impressive range emerges dramatically from the Cantabrian Sea, soaring up to towering heights between the lush north coast and the arid central plain. Water has been the great sculptor here, where rushing rivers have carved deep gorges out of the limestone, leaving sharply vertical peaks behind. This 8-day trek explores some of the most vertical terrain in all of Europe, with elevations ranging from 120m to 2648m. These spectacular differences in elevation create an endless variety of habitats, home to a striking number of alpine flowers and intriguingly varied fauna. Your trek will be an unforgettable odyssey into the very heart of this paradise.
