Enter Through Petra's "Back Door" If you approach Petra from the north, you can enter through the "back door," where the crowds of tourists are far more manageable. You ll pass through Little Petra first, where you ll get to climb into caves hand-carved into the sandstone once used by ancient travelers visiting the city. Sleep Under the Stars - With relatively zero light pollution in many parts of the trail, the night sky is incredible. Walk through history in Jerash, regarded as one of the most important and best preserved Roman cities in the Middle East Visit Wadi Rum in the desert, see the Bedouin way of life Lastly, of course, visit the Dead Sea!!

JORDAN ADVENTURE: ITINERARY DAY ONE: AMMAN - AJLOUN Arrive at Amman Airport, where we will meet you, assist with immigration and then transfer you to Ajlou Homestay. For dinner, a delicious, home-cooked traditional Arabic meal will be prepared by a local Jordanian family, and served right in their own house. DAY TWO: AJLOUN - AMMAN After breakfast you will visit Ajloun Castle that aided in the defeat of the Crusaders 8 centuries ago. From Ajloun Castle you will walk to a group of friendly villages, passing oak forests and ruins along the way. After Lunch you will be transferred to Amman for the overnight.
JORDAN ADVENTURE: ITINERARY DAY THREE: AMMAN - WILDERNESS CAMP After breakfast, start your tour with the old city of Amman exploring the Citadel and the Roman Theatre, two of the most popular archaeological sites in the city. Head north to walk through history in Jerash, regarded as one of the most important and best preserved Roman cities in the Middle East. Depart from Jerash and head south towards Furon. Overnight in a wilderness camp.
JORDAN ADVENTURE: ITINERARY DAY FOUR: WILDERNESS CAMP - LITTLE PETRA On this day, we will start hiking from Furon past Ras Al-Feid towards Ghbour Whedat. Witness astonishing views into the some of the most remote and wildest corners of Jordan. Contouring the Sharah Mountains, follow a trail of mostly clear Bedouin shepherd paths. The sheer peeks of black mountains overlooking our trail and steep precipitous drops of the canyons below make this day absolutely spectacular. Gradually climb up the hills to uncover more of the spectacular views. After the hike you will be transferred to your camp in Little Petra. Hiking Distance 17.1Km, Ascent 750m, Descent 920m.
JORDAN ADVENTURE: ITINERARY DAY FIVE: LITTLE PETRA - PETRA After breakfast it's time to start your hike. Enter Petra via The Back Door avoiding most of the tourists. Good tracks go pleasantly down Wadi Ghurab amidst sandstone mountains guarding the approaches to Petra. This way follows a Nabataean route out of the valley and skirting round the final mountain on a natural rock terrace which has been improved for the safety of walkers. Even so, it still narrows slightly before reaching a hidden plateau high above the impressive chasm of Wadi Siyyagh. Just beyond, carved into the cliff face, The Monastery suddenly comes into view, where there is a Bedouin café for refreshments if you would like. Nabataean steps then lead down into ancient Petra; your route then takes you through Wadi Muthlim (Hiking distance 18Km) (weather dependent) or Madras Trail (Hiking distance 22Km) to Wadi Musa and your Petra hotel accommodation. There is another exit where you will take the road that climbs a hill to the village of Umm Sayhoon. Overnight in Petra Hotel.
JORDAN ADVENTURE: ITINERARY DAY SIX: PETRA - WADI RUM A Master piece half as old as time; The Red Rose city of Petra. Marvel at the beauty of the Lost City, exploring its many caves and tombs. Walk through the Siq and be astounded at the magnificent Treasury, the entrance guarding the ancient Nabatean city, now one of the Modern 7 Wonders of the World. Time to then explore the city further, such as Qasr Al-Bint or the Royal Tombs. Drive to Wadi Rum and spend a roughly 2-hour sunset Jeep tour and the night under the stars in the peaceful desert, enjoying the hospitality of the Bedouins.
DAY SEVEN: WADI RUM - DEAD SEA
JORDAN ADVENTURE: ITINERARY DAY SEVEN: WADI RUM - DEAD SEA After having breakfast in Wadi Rum you will drive to the lowest point on earth to float and relax at the Dead Sea. Enjoy the sunshine and view whilst trying out the invigorating mud bath to cleanse the skin. Overnight in Dead Sea. Drive from Wadi Rum onto the Dead Sea takes around 4 Hours. DAY EIGHT: DEAD SEA - AMMAN AIRPORT Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. Time to float in the salty waters of the Dead Sea, relax by the pool, and experience the various treatments in the spa. After this relaxing finish to your tour, you'll depart and proceed to the Queen Alia International Airport.
