Amalfi Coast has a mixture of history and nature, all to discover; from the Cathedral of Amalfi, to the villas in Ravello and the umerous churches built during the historical period of Amalfi's Republic. Itinerary: Departure from your hotel with a private car and driver. Arrival in Positano and free time for a tour of this old fisherman village with its beautiful church, beach and lovely streets for shopping. Continue to Amalfi: visit the beautiful Cathedral and it's architectonical complex made by two connected churches, a crypt, a stair, an atrium, a church tower and a cloister called Chiostro del Paradiso. Free time for lunch (not included). Departure for Ravello to visist the two wonderful villas: villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone, where famous artists received inspirations for many of their works. Return to Sorrento. Day 7 Breakfast at the hotel and private full day for tour of Capri. This excursion includes the boat tour and a walking tour to visit the highlights of Capri & Anacapri. Start by meeting your captain and circumnavi gate the entire island and visit the most spectacular grottoes characteristic of the island, such as the Blue Grotto (weather permitting), Green grotto, White Grotto, and around the famous Faraglioni Rock formations. Provided the seas are clam, you will be able to go into the Blue Grotto and climb up into the White Grotto. The tour is done on the traditional Capri boat called Gozzo which has comfortable cushions and pillow and a canopy to provide shade. During the tour you may enjoy light snacks, refreshments and an external shower to rinse after swimming. Following the boat tour, take the funicular from Marina Grande up to Capri and have a walk to the Gardens of Ceasar August or to the Punta Tragara, both very easy walks. If you prefer something a little more challenging, head up to the Villa Jovis to visit the ruins of Tiberius, the most important imperial villa and then continue the walk to the Natural Arch. Doing this challenging walk will definitely take more time and reduce the time spent in Anacapri with the visit of the gardens and museum of the Villa San Michele or a tour by chair lift up to Monte Solaro, the highest point of the island.
