Stand Tall and tell your friends and neighbors that you belong to the BEST SKI CLUB AROUND...the NEWARK SKI CLUB! Put-in-Bay Tina Efaw The Put-in-Bay trip has been canceled. As many of you already know, there are several health issues going on at Put-in-Bay. The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has declared the water from the wells used by Saunders Cottages unsafe for drinking and even for bathing. Saunders is closed and is canceling all clients until further notice. This cancellation is actually a relief as we were concerned about running the trip and potentially putting our members at risk of illness from exposure to the water. Those signed up for the trip will be contacted individually to determine how to refund their money. Ginny Young and Jim Proctor -- September 14--24, 2004 The departure date for Europe is quickly approaching. If you haven t already done so, make sure that you get your passport early. With the current security concerns in the US, you could THE INSIDE EDGE experience delays in receiving it. Practice up on your German and Italian and be ready for a great time full of fun, excitement and adventure. Contact Nancy Channell at 740-366-2974 or Dixie Hull at 740-366-6990 with any questions. Mohican Camping and Kayaking Many thanks to Beth and Rebecca Swick for hosting a great time at the Mohican Camping Weekend. We got a little rain but not enough to dampen the spirits. I gave kayaking a try for the first time and loved it. I can t wait to try it again. At one point there was a full moon and Mercury and Venus were also spotted low on the horizon. They gave no indication of rising. Now or ever. Good fun. Good food. Good friends. Good time.
