SOCIAL ENGAGEMENT CALENDAR We are excited to release this latest calendar of activities for you to enjoy from July through to December. It s a packed schedule, with some brand new day trips including to the National Wool, the Fox Classic Car and the Living Legends racehorse retirement estate. For those of you who enjoy regular catch-ups with old and new friends, we return to some of our popular social luncheon venues, which offer great value for money and relaxed dining. Morning Melodies is another great opportunity to socialise while enjoying popular music from years gone by, with the Christmas specials a lively end to a busy year. Due to the popularity of our activities please look over the calendar, consider your preferred activities and submit a request by completing the accompanying registration form. While we endeavour to offer our clients as many activities as possible, there may be some outings where we simply are unable to accommodate all requests. If you haven t heard from us shortly before your requested trip, it is likely that you will be allocated a seat on another occasion. Transport to all activities is coordinated with the Community Bus. If you prefer to drive yourself to any of the venues please let us know and we can coordinate this with you. These outings are held regularly in venues throughout the City of Kingston and surrounding areas. Morning Melodies provides an opportunity to meet and socialise with other members of your local community, whilst enjoying a meal and live entertainment. DAY TRIPS Day Trips offer clients a chance to visit a wide range of destinations around Melbourne and beyond. Day Trips usually comprise a scenic drive, morning tea break and comfort stop, before proceeding for a planned activity and/or lunch at the venue listed. Seats for these trips can fill very quickly. We will notify you at least one week prior to the trip to confirm if you have been allocated a seat. If you don t hear from us, it means that you will be allocated a seat on another trip at a later date. It is here you will discover why fleece from Australia s sheep was at the heart of our economy for nearly 200 years. The Scarf Festival is also on throughout July and this year s theme showcases a Living on the Land theme. Lunch will be at Dennys Italian restaurant which is attached to the museum. Collected over a 30-year period by trucking businessman Lindsay Fox this collection contains vehicles previously owned by Ringo Starr, Bing Crosby and Bob Jane to name a few. The museum features Bentley, Ferrari, Jaguar, Porsche, Rolls Royce and one of the largest Mercedes-Benz car collections in the southern hemisphere.
