But where the marketing really adds up exponentially, is through Earned Media. What exactly is Earned media and why is it important? Earned media is the new PR! It means a 3 rd party mentions you, therefore introducing you to a whole new audience! This can be a mention on a website, a share or a retweet on Social media, or anything else!
Studies show that Earned Media: has value. $1 for every time it reaches someone new. and, is what is the most likely to move the consumer into action! Why is this big? Because Earned Media is worth $6 trillion annually according to KellerFay Research!
When you Google the Milford Pumpkin Festival, you get a true sense of how much publicity the festival gets via Earned Media. There were so many that included info on the Festival that we stopped counting websites after 12 pages of Google! These websites were from NH, the Northeast Region, the US and Canada, and several International travel sites!
