nacala business campus --- the platform of opportunity ---

nacala _ the apex of interchange The City of Nacala also known as Nacala Porto is located on the eastern shores of the bay of Nacala. The port area forms the focus of the City of Nacala and the City grows up the gentle slopes from the port with developing residential areas to the north and the industrial sector to the south. The Port, industry and the large population make Nacala a hive of activity and the energy of the city can be felt in the streets. During the day local fisherman in dhow boats cruise up and down the calm waters of the bay landing their craft on the white beaches around the City. In the evening the sun sets across the bay only to be complimented by the lights on the vessels at dock. 3

nacala port To the north of the old city of Nacala is the Nacala Development Node. The Nacala Development Node is a 250 hectare portion of land that hugs the shoreline and links the old city of Nacala with the new Nacala International Airport. Beach front properties are mixed with commercial and residential to create modern city area that will carry Nacala forward in years to come.

At the nucleus of the development node is the Nacala Business Campus. The campus will straddle the new City Airport Road link and will be home to the commercial and retail areas in Nacala. The Nacala business campus will be 3km from the port and 4km from the airport, keeping the Nacala business campus central to Nacala airport and not to far away from the bustle of old town Nacala. 5

nacala business campus create ---- advance ---- exchange

nacala business campus The philosophy behind the Nacala Business Campus Development is to mix the rhythms and vibrancy of Mozambique with the requirements of international business. Nacala is rapidly moving towards its watershed moment, and it is imperative that business and investment has an environment that allows Nacala to become a pivotal town in the rise of the north of Mozambique. Timed to knit with the development of the Nacala transportation corridor and the opening of the Nacala Airport, the Campus Development will have facilities for business travellers, to mix with the residents and businesses of Nacala. The concept is to provide a relaxed but world class setting to become the business centre in Nacala. Hotels, office parks, medical facilities and shopping centres will provide significant facilities to both international travellers and the local community. Raising the profile of the City of Nacala to internationally recognised business hub, while keeping the flavour distantly African. phase 1 phase 2 8

commerce village The Offices are a perfect opportunity to upgrade the Nacala business offerings. As Nacala moves to become a major port along the African East Coast many businesses will be looking to route themselves close to the port. This port serves to act as the loading destination for inland coal and service boats to the potential oil rigs proposed to operate off the Mozambique Coast. Nacala has a multi-berth port, compared to the city of Pemba which has a single berth port, and has the perfect opportunity to create a large marine service industry servicing all along the coast between Beira and Daar-es-Salaam. 10

centre for distribution As Nacala City is the entry and exit point for the Nacala Corridor serving Mozambique, DRC, Zambia and Malawi many of the required commercial facilities in Nacala are based around logistics and distribution. The Nacala Business campus will offer the market both tailored and generic warehouse solutions. Each warehouse will have a private delivery yard and office facility, all in the effort to increase productivity and make business in Africa easier. The warehouses will be complimented by Showrooms along the Airport-City Road link. These showrooms will provide the perfect opportunity for products to be viewed by the passing public and interact with business travellers to the City of Nacala. 14
