First National Equipment Fleet s and TRB s joint First National Equipment Fleet will be comprised of Fleet Managers, Administrators, Directors and Engineers from State Agencies and local governments throughout the nation, Federal, equipment industry and academic participants, along with members from the American Association of State Highway Transportation Officials (AASHTO) and the Transportation Research Board (TRB). The conference will provide technical presentations from experts in the equipment field, panel discussions on various fleet management topics, break-out and business meetings for the EMTSP Regional Partnerships, and a forum to share equipment fleet management strategies and best practices. This conference will not only afford the opportunity to learn about national initiatives and research projects by AASHTO and TRB, as well as technological advances in equipment, but attendees will also meet and interact with peers from States and other equipment fleets throughout the country. Dress for the conference is business casual. CONFERENCE LOGISTICAL INFORMATION The Conference will be held at the Mobile Convention Center in Mobile, Alabama, with lodging at the Renaissance Mobile Riverview Plaza Hoteland the Renaissance Battlehouse Hotel & Spa, Mobile, Alabama. The convention center and the hotels are centrally located with many outstanding restaurant options nearby. Non-Invitational Travelers. Please make your room reservations by June 4, 2012, to obtain a negotiated rate of $119 per night. Contact the hotel at 800-922-3298 and identify yourself being connected with the AASHTO-Equipment Management Technical Services Program. Invitational Travelers will NOT call the hotel for a reservation. If you receive an invitation from the, please complete the travel planning request form found at www.emtsp.org/national2012/travel. Complete travel planning procedures will be communicated to invitational travelers as they are identified and we will make your lodging reservation for you. CONFERENCE REGISTRATION Please complete the meeting registration form attached and return by fax or mail to the address indicated on the form, or register online at www.emtsp.org/national2012. State DOT Agency Members-Invitational travel costs to the conference will be provided by the Program for one attendee from each state DOT. Any participants not covered by invitation may register at the rate of $250 per person. AASHTO (EMTSP) Membership benefits include paid registration for one registrant at this national conference who is eligible to represent his/her State DOT and will get one vote on issues being considered at each EMTSP Regional Partnership business meeting. Local & Federal Government Officials and Academic Attendees may register at the rate of $250 per person. Equipment Contractors, Suppliers, Consultants may register to exhibit and attend open sessions of the conference. Registration as an exhibitor includes two admissions to the conference. Additional exhibitor registrants beyond two must register at $500 per person. Details about exhibiting and sponsorship opportunities are described on the Exhibitor Registration Form. Spouse Registration/Program includes organized trips to the beach, shopping, and planned evening activities. Spouse program registration is $200 per person. EVENING ACTIVITIES Several exciting evening field trips are being planned including a visit to the battleship USS Alabama, an IMAX theater, and more. Information about these events will be provided on the conference website as it becomes available.
