Everything is in the title: Sustainable Transnational Thematic Tourism products Key elements - what to retain - The project proposal should focus on the promotion of a concrete transnational thematic tourism product (e.g. a transnational route/itinerary/trail/tourism offer) based on a type of tourism 10

Expected results better market visibility development of comprehensive and practical information on the product for potential tourists development of concrete tourist offers/packages facilitating and stimulating public-private partnerships diversification and contribution to the development of sustainable tourism offer in Europe contribution to sustainable development, growth (increase in tourism flows) and employment in the tourism sector. "Iron Curtain Trail" a successful ride through history, politics and nature EuroVelo route N 13 Iron Curtain Trail is applying to get certified as an European Cultural Route goes through 14 Member States, from the Barents Sea to the Black Sea Example of soft mobility and symbol of the European reunification integrating memory and numerous historic monuments 15

Project CERTO The project intends to develop an integrated promotion & visibility strategy shared by 3 transnational routes recognized by the Council of Europe: 1. The "Via Francigena" 2. The Saint Olav Route 3. The Saint James' Ways Innovative marketing, through different co-marketing tools, like the Tour Box. 19

TECH TOUR Project Technology and Tourism: augmented reality for the promotion of the Roman and Byzantine itineraries AR mobile solution enables layering historical and cultural monuments and sites with additional contextual information. Through image recognition and 3D object recognition any planar surface/artifact can be recognised by the camera triggering additional digital information in realtime. Passengers, tourists, visitors and citizens would have the chance to scan markers along the routes or close to cultural sites with the help of smart phones or tablets and trigger audio visual presentation with basic information on monuments in the area. 20
