I m excited to report that preparations are currently underway for our Annual Food City Charity Dinner & Golf Outing. Thanks to your efforts, last year we raised a record $310,000 to benefit our friends and neighbors in need throughout the region, including American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, American Red Cross, YMCA/YWCA, March of Dimes, Susan G. Komen, Dr. Robert F. Thomas Foundation, AARP Foundation, Reach Them to Teach Them, Niswonger Children s Hospital and numerous others. As most of you know, a board of qualified individuals have been hand selected to oversee the distribution of these funds, which are now administered through our Food City Charitable Foundation. The Dinner and Golf Pairings will take place on Monday evening, May 12 th at the Sevierville Event Center.
