The primary focus is Oregon and Washington State, and most materials date from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Included are many brochures produced under the auspices of the Sunset Homeseekers Bureau. Historical Note The collection was assembled by the Oregon Historical Society from a variety of sources. Content Description Promotional brochures advertising business and travel opportunities throughout the Pacific Northwest, including Alaska, British Columbia, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and California; many brochures include color and black & white illustrations. The bulk of material describes Oregon and Washington cities, counties, hotels, resorts, and parks, and date from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
