Seasonal Camping Agreement Beavermead Family Campground 2018 No person shall occupy or make use of a seasonal campsite until all camping fees have been paid in full, and the seasonal camping permit has been completed and signed. No person shall occupy or make other use of a seasonal campsite outside of the occupancy period specified in the seasonal camping permit. The occupancy period shall be within the operating season (May 11 th, 2018 October 8 th, 2018). The seasonal camping permit only allows for the use of a specified campsite during the occupancy period. No other right or benefit is expressed or implied beyond those identified within this agreement. All campsites must be vacated and left in a clean condition by the end of normal business hours on the final day of the occupancy period. Please note that we do not offer winter storage. No seasonal camping permit holder may assign or transfer the permit to any other person. Otonabee Conservation and/or the City of Peterborough assume(s) no liability whatsoever for trailers and their contents, or any other property on a campsite, while at Beavermead Campground. The seasonal camping permit holder agrees to indemnify Otonabee Conservation and the City of Peterborough, their officers and employees, against claims resulting from loss or damage to property or injury to any person arising out of the use of its facilities. Otonabee Conservation is not obligated to issue a seasonal camping permit and reserves the right to refuse entrance to any person(s) whose conduct is or may be deemed detrimental to the operation of the campground. Otonabee Conservation may withdraw a seasonal camping permit at any time at its sole discretion and is not obligated to refund camping or other fees where the conduct of the permit holder, other persons identified in the agreement, or guests to the campsite is or may be deemed detrimental to the operation of the campground. Otonabee Conservation may terminate a seasonal camping permit due to changes in the length of the operating season by providing fourteen (14) days written notice. The permit holder is entitled to a refund of unused camping fees according to a schedule prepared for that purpose. The minimum term of a seasonal camping permit shall be 90 days. The seasonal camping permit holder may withdraw from the agreement by providing seven (7) days written notice and is entitled to a refund of unused camping fees according to a schedule prepared for that purpose. Site occupancy limits No more than six persons shall occupy a campsite unless it is a single family unit of parents and their dependent children.

A seasonal camping permit allows for one camping trailer or one camping-purpose vehicle per campsite. The site supervisor or his designate may refuse entry to or cause to have removed any such trailer, vehicle or other item of equipment deemed not suitable to the purpose of camping. In addition, tents for camping or dining may be placed on the campsite. The site supervisor or his designate may limit the number of tents placed on a site. A seasonal camping permit allows parking for one vehicle per campsite. Additional vehicles must have an additional vehicle permit or annual pass. No more than two vehicles shall be parked on a campsite. Additional parking is available in the visitor parking lot. A camping-purpose vehicle shall not be permitted as an additional vehicle. The seasonal campsite permit holder is responsible for the conduct of any occupant of the permit holder s site, including registered occupants, visitors, or overnight guests. Minors (persons under the age 19 years) are not permitted to stay overnight unless accompanied by an adult. No visitors are permitted after 10 p.m. The site supervisor or his designate may reasonably limit the number of visitors permitted on a campsite. Visitors are subject to any admission, parking, or other applicable fees that may be in place. Overnight guests are permitted, subject to the occupancy limit of six persons per site. Overnight guests are required to register and are subject to any admission, camping, parking or other applicable fees that may be in place. Site maintenance Seasonal campsite permit holders shall maintain their campsites in a clean, sanitary and safe condition at all times. The site supervisor or his designate may direct that a campsite be restored to a clean, sanitary or safe condition as they deem necessary. Only equipment designed and intended for the purpose of camping or similar outdoor recreational activity may be placed on a campsite. No person shall place or erect any shed, portable building, fence or similar barrier, deck, or other structure on a campsite. The campsite shall not be landscaped or physically altered in any way. No person shall use or store a refrigerator, freezer, or any other appliance except for a propane- or charcoal-fueled barbecue on a campsite. No person shall place, erect, use or maintain anything on a campsite that may pose an undue hazard or danger. The site supervisor or his designate may direct that anything that is or may be deemed to be a hazard, danger or inappropriate be immediately remedied or removed. One storage unit is permitted per site, subject to a maximum footprint of 35 sq. ft. (5 ft. x 7 ft.) with a maximum height of 4.5 ft. All storage units and their location must be approved by the site supervisor or his designate. Waste management All garbage and recyclable materials must be properly sorted and disposed of at the campground waste and recycling area. Sewage or waste water must be properly disposed of at the designated dumping station. The disposal or discharge of sewage or waste water on campsites or at any other location within the campground or adjacent properties, including washroom buildings, is not permitted. Seasonal camping permit holders are permitted the use of the designated dumping station at no charge, such use being limited to the trailer or other camping equipment identified in the seasonal camping permit. Seasonal camping permit holders are responsible for ensuring that any trailer or other item of camping equipment fitted with a sewage or waste water system does not improperly discharge sewage or waste water. Any such system is required to have approved portable holding tanks installed and properly connected. The system shall be properly maintained and kept in good operating condition at all times. Holding tanks shall be emptied as required.
