D Athabasca Glacier Day 3 B L Kananaskis Jasper Discovery: Peyto Lake and Athabasca Falls. Travel into the heart of Alpine country in Banff National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The mountain landscape and surrounding valleys were once undiscovered by Westerners. It wasn't until Europeans arrived in the 1700s that exploration truly began in this area, and Banff National Park was officially established in 1885. Marvel at the turquoise waters of Peyto Lake, which sits at 6,170 feet above sea level. During summer, large amounts of glacial rock flour flows into the lake, giving Peyto its magical blue color. Continue to see Athabasca Falls, the most powerful waterfall in the Canadian Rockies. The full width of the Athabasca River is funneled over quartzite rocks into a small canyon and the fall s sudden drop of 75 feet is a visual spectacle. Following lunch near Sunwapta Falls, continue to Jasper and check in to the Sawridge Inn Jasper. Day 4 B D Jasper Free Time: Choose to join one or both Elective Excursions, or enjoy a day at leisure in Jasper. ELECTIVE Maligne Lake Cruise. Sail upon the cerulean waters of Maligne Lake, the second largest glacier-fed lake in the world. Soak up gorgeous scenery, and appreciate one of Jasper National Park s beautiful highlights. Learn about the area s history, and disembark on Spirit Island to stand among towering pines. ELECTIVE Jasper Skytram. Soar to the top of Whistler Mountain on the Jasper Skytram, Canada s longest and highest guided aerial tramway. Learn about the region s cultural heritage, flora and fauna. Disembark at the Upper Station, 7,000 feet above sea level to browse interpretive exhibits. Then step out onto the summit where panoramas of six mountain ranges, sparkling lakes and the serpentine Athabasca River await. Dine on local fare during dinner in Jasper. Discovery: Jasper Dark Sky Preserve. The Dark Sky Preserve of Jasper, where no artificial lighting is visible at night, is an area where residents make a special commitment to protect and preserve the night sky. Day 5 B Jasper Free Time: Jasper was originally used as an outpost for the fur trade. Spend the morning at leisure in this endearing mountain town. Discovery: Athabasca River Scenic Float. Along the way, your expert guide shares Athabasca River s natural and human history. Day 6 B L Jasper Banff Discovery: Columbia Icefield. En route to Banff, journey to Columbia Icefield, one of the largest accumulations of ice and snow south of the Arctic Circle. A specially designed vehicle carries you onto the surface of Athabasca Glacier, and your guide provides insight into the icefield s history and geology. Marvel at this once-in-once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to step onto its centuries-old surface. Share your morning s adventure while enjoying picturesque mountain scenery over lunch at a local lodge. Marvel at the Hoodoos, uniquely shaped rocks, and view the magnificent Lake Minnewanka, Johnson Lake and Bankhead, an abandoned mining town.

Banff AHI Connects: Memories of the RCMP. Gather for lunch with a retired Mountie from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Listen as he shares his experiences, and learn about the interesting history of the RCMP. Discovery: Cave and Basin National Historic Site. Journey deep into the forest to the birthplace of the Canadian parks system. AIR TRANSPORTATION-The price of air transportation offered by AHI Travel is based on Advance Purchase Excursion fares. After tickets are issued, penalties up to 100% of the ticket price may be levied. If connecting flights are requested, special promotional fares may be used, in which case penalties of as much as 100% may be assessed by the airlines if reservations are changed or canceled after ticketing. After departure, if the reservations are changed, you will be charged the higher, all year Economy class fare. VARIATIONS TO THE GROUP ITINERARY MUST BE REQUESTED NO LATER THAN 60 DAYS PRIOR TO DEPARTURE. Passengers who choose to make their own airline reservations independently will be wholly responsible for arrival and departure transfers, and any airline fees or penalties incurred as a result of program cancellation and/or change in travel dates, or airline schedule(s). BAGGAGE-Baggage restrictions vary according to the airline policy and the class of service flown. Details will be provided with your pre-departure information. Baggage allowances are subject to change by the carrier without notice. Excess baggage charges for additional or oversized/overweight pieces are expensive and not included in your trip price; plan your wardrobe accordingly. AUTHORITY TO USE IMAGES AND AUDIO RECORD- INGS-On occasion, AHI Travel obtains, from its staff, or from trip participants, photographic or video images of passengers and trip activities. By participating in this travel program, you authorize AHI Travel, without providing compensation to you, or obtaining additional approvals from you, to include photographic and video recordings of you, as well as voice recordings included with any videos, in AHI Travel's sales, marketing, advertising, publicity and/or training activities. RESPONSIBILITY-AHI Travel does not own or operate any entity which provides goods or services for this program, and acts only as the agent for the independent suppliers of travel conveyance, transport, accommodations or other services. All such persons or entities are independent contractors. As a result, AHI Travel is not liable for any negligence or willful act of any such person or entity or any third person. In addition and without limitation, AHI Travel is not responsible for any delays, delayed departure or arrival, missed carrier connections, loss, death, damage or injury to person or property or accident, mechanical defect, failure or negligence of any nature howsoever caused in connection with any accommodations, transportation or other services or for any substitution of hotels or of common carrier equipment, with or without notice, or for any additional expenses occasioned thereby. Dates, Program Details and Tour costs, although given in good faith and based on tariffs, exchange rates and other information current at the time of printing, are subject to change at or before the time of departure. No revisions of the printed itinerary or its included features are anticipated; however, the right is reserved to make any changes, with or without notice, that might become necessary, with the mutual understanding that any additional expenses will be paid by the individual passenger. Baggage and personal effects are the sole responsibility of the owners at all times. If the entire program is cancelled for any reason, participants shall have no claim other than for a full refund. By forwarding the deposit, the passenger certifies that he/she has no physical, mental or other condition of disability that would create a hazard for himself/herself or other passengers and accepts the terms of this contract set out herein and in more specific pre-departure passenger information. The airlines and other transportation companies concerned are not to be held responsible for any act, omission, or event, during the time passengers are not on board their conveyances. The passage contract in use, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the company(ies) and the passenger and/or purchaser of this trip. CANCELLATION-All cancellations for any reason will be subject to a $300 per person administrative fee. You may choose, at the time of cancellation, to apply the withheld administrative fee to a future AHI Travel program that will operate in the current calendar year or year following. Cancellation from 120 days to 76 days prior to departure will result in forfeiture of 15% of the entire cost of the trip per person; 75-30 days, 50% of the trip cost per person; cancellation from 29 days up to the time of departure will result in 100% forfeiture of the entire cost of the trip.
