ITINERARY DAY 1: USA PERU Board your flight and fly through the night to Peru. DAY 2: CUSCO Bienvenidos a Peru! Meet your Forum Tour Manager upon arrival, who will help you transfer to your host families in Cusco. Take a cooking class! Put your culinary skills to the test, this will be your dinner. After, enjoy a guided tour of the city. See Plaza de Armas - legendary founding place of the city. You ll also see the 17th century Cathedral - a masterpiece of colonial art, which is part of a complex of three churches. Visit the Koricancha: a famous temple dedicated to the sun, with walls of polished stone that are considered the best works of Inca art; it is one of the most fascinating sites of Cusco. Next, visit the ruins around Puca Pucara, whose name means Red Fort and was most likely a stopping place for travelers and their animals to rest and eat. See Tambomachay and its ceremonial water fountains, and Qenqo, a temple and amphitheater that once held several kinds of ceremonies. It is also the famous fortress where Sacsayhuamán (Festival of Sun) occurs annually. Return to your host family for dinner and overnight accommodation. DAY 3: SACRED VALLEY PISAC MARKET OLLANTAYTAMBO After breakfast with your host family, travel to the Sacred Valley of the Inca a long narrow valley which goes from Urcos in the south, towards the north, crossing Ollantaytambo, before it finally reaches the edge of Machu Picchu. Upon arrival, have some free time to enjoy the Pisac Village Market. Have lunch in the Sacred Valley. After, explore the Ruins of Pisac and enjoy the view of the Urubamba Valley. Visit the ruins of Ollantaytambo with a local guide it is the only village that is intact from the Inca period in which people still live in today! Return to Cusco for dinner and overnight accommodation with your host family. DAY 4: MACHU PICCHU After breakfast with your host family, head to the train station and take a train to Aguas Calientes - a small town located at the base of Machu Picchu (4-hour train ride). Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, transfer by bus to the citadel to visit the fabulous archaeologic site. Enjoy a guided tour of Machu Picchu. Have lunch with your group at a local restaurant. After, enjoy some free time to discover Machu Picchu at your own pace.
ITINERARY Board the train back to Cusco, for dinner and overnight accommodation with your host family. DAY 5: MISMINAY After breakfast with your host family, travel to Misminay a village located at the end of the sacred valley. Visit Mullaka s Misminay for a glimpse of Andean lifestyle. Learn about ancestral Inca knowledge that is still being used today with members of the local community. After, partake in a weaving workshop learn about traditional tools & coloring techniques. Enjoy lunch with the community. Then, learn about agriculture and how the community harvests & grows their crops. Dinner and overnight accommodation with a local host family. DAY 6: MISMINAY CUSCO Enjoy breakfast with the community. Participate in a Toy Making Project! Make a toy from recycled materials with local youths. At the end of the day, several toys will be selected to be sent and entered in the international toy competition in association with Oxfam Québec. Have lunch with the community. In the afternoon, visit a local school and take part in an afternoon of sports with students from the school. Return to Cusco for dinner and overnight accommodation with your host family. DAY 7: CUSCO LIMA After breakfast, say goodbye to your host family and catch your internal flight to Lima. Enjoy a guided walking tour of Lima Plaza Mayor, Government Palace, Archbishop's Palace, City Hall and the old streets with colonial mansions & Moorish balconies. Visit the Monastery of San Francisco famous for its catacombs containing 70,000 graves. Explore the popular Plaza San Martin and visit the modern district of Miraflores. Dinner and overnight accommodation in Lima. DAY 8: DEPART After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport and board your flight back home.

PERU ENROLLMENT INSTRUCTIONS Enrolling for this trip is as easy as going to https://enrollment.forumlanguageexperience.com/exchange/crescent-valley-peru/ The enrollment process will take you about 10-15 minutes. During, you will be asked to provide contact information, a valid passport number, and method of payment. If you do not have a passport yet, don t worry you will still be able to enroll. However, we advise you to apply for your passport as soon you finish enrolling for your trip. If you would like to purchase the optional Cancel For Any Reason benefit, you must choose it at the time of enrollment, and the additional fee MUST be included with your first trip deposit.
