highlights Spend 5 days hiking hut to hut through the alpine peaks and passes of the rugged Julian Alps in Triglav National Park. Navigate the narrow chasms of the Soca River as you raft through its famed overhanging rock walls and emerald green water. Rappel, jump, slide and scale the water carved canyons of the Soca River valley on a canyoneering and climbing adventure. Paddle the turquoise waters of the Adriatic Sea off the Istrian Peninsula. Explore the magical canals, culture, architecture and gelato in the floating city of Venice. I loved this trip more than anything I have ever done in my life. LEADERSHIP ADVENTURES DEPART DAY 1-2 DAY 3 DAY 4 day by day Pick up at Venice Airport and transportation to Slovenia where we stop in Ljubljana, capitol of Slovenia for short tour of the city and lunch in Slovenian house. After lunch we depart to Kranjska gora where we visit Zelenci nature park for a short hike. Introduction evening and welcome dinner with guides. After breakfast, we will set off for Via Ferrata at the small village of Gozd Martuljek. You ll be rewarded with a breath-taking panorama of the Špik mountain range. One of the most beautiful mountains in the Julian Alps, the Slovenian Matterhorn dominates the Martuljek range. Leaving the valley our forest trail takes us into Martuljek Gorge, as we slowly start our ascent following the stream, where we arrive at the Lower Fall, cascading down to the valley. Lipovceva Hut has a lovely setting and is known for its open natural kitchen and delicious homemade mountain soups. After breakfast, head to Lake Bohinj where we will gear up for a morning Kayaking adventure. After a safety briefing and some instruction, we will push off for a beautiful descent of this classic alpine river. After lunch, we will stretch our arms and legs with different climbing routes along the shores of the lake. There are routes for every level and always the opportunity to cool off in the cool alpine lake. Dinner tonight will be traditional fare at a local guesthouse. *Trip Itinerary and activities subject to variation
LEADERSHIP ADVENTURES DAY 5-8 DAY 9 DAY 10 day by day For the next four (4) days, we will explore the Julian Alps and Triglav National Park on foot! Starting from Bohinj, we will traverse mountain passes and alpine valleys. We will swim in alpine lakes, graze with the cows in green meadows, scramble up craggy peaks, and drink from fresh mountain streams. The hike will not always be easy, but you are guaranteed incredible views and an experience never to be forgotten! After the last four days, you will have certainly earned a big breakfast this morning, but dont overdo it - We have a day filled with adrenaline fueled rafting down the famous Soca River! Later, we will suit up for another definite highlight.. From the take out, we will swim in crystal clear pools, slide down narrow waterfalls, and desend into the world of Slovenian Canyoning. We will sleep hard tonight! After a canyoning warm up yesterday, we will prepare for a full day exploring the narrow passages and aquatic arena of the Slovenian underworld. Thunderous waterfalls await our arrival where we will rappell, swim, and scramble our way through the refreshing maze. This is something unlikely to be repeated anywhere in the world! This afternoon, we will wind down with a thrilling zipline above the trees for a different perspective.
LEADERSHIP ADVENTURES DAY 11 DAY 12 DAY 13-14 day by day This morning, we will depart towards the town of Skocjan where we will descend into a fascinating network of tunnels. The Reka River winding through the landscape has carved out one of the largest underground canyons in Europe for us to explore. Once above ground, we will continue on to the coast to explore the Adriatic. Today, we will experience an unforgettable adventure while we navigate sea kayaks along the protected oastline. Along our journey, we will explore hidden coves, cliffs for jumping, and caves for snorkeling, Wind down and relax after a packed schedule. Kick back on the coast and enjoy the company! This morning, we will pack up and head to the magical city of Venice, Italy. A few hours by ferry and we will be exploring the canals, hitching Goldola rides, and trying the numerous varieties of gelato on offer. Pizza? You bet - Tonight will be a special one as you close out the trip of a lifetime! On the last morning, we will head to the airport to await our departure flight as a group. On to the next adventure!
