Object of report To notify the Committee of amendments to subsidised local bus service contracts since the last Committee. 2. Background It is necessary to adjust subsidised local bus contracts as allowed for in our corporate governance to react to the fluidity of the commercial local bus network and ensure that, where budget allows, service continuity to the travelling public continues. Appendix 1 details the amendments to subsidised local bus contracts conveyed since the last Committee. Processes continue to ensure that all subsidised local bus service contracts are monitored and reviewed on a sustainable basis, whilst meeting obligations in terms of best value, therefore ensuring that scarce public funds are appropriately dispensed. 3. Committee action The Committee is recommended to note the amendments to subsidised local bus contracts, in accordance with established corporate governance, financial regulation and standings. 4. Consequences Policy consequences: Legal consequences: Financial consequences: In line with Regional Transport Strategy. All amendments are permitted in terms of the conditions of contract. The amendments to contracts detailed in the committee paper will result in no additional costs to SPT in /18 as these costs were already included in projections. Personnel consequences: None.
