To cultivate and enjoy the friendship through social and cultural meetings, displays and shows of farm equipment of any nature, toys, crafts, and other complimentary equipment. Inside this issue: New Members 1 Officers and Board Of Directors Items for Sale 3 2 Appreciation Supper The Annual Show Appreciation Supper was held on Sunday evening Nov. 5th with 63 attending. This number was down from the RSVP number received. The following sponsors were in attendance: State Farm Ins, Judy Barnes and her husband; Velvet Rose of Superior, Peggy and her husband; Glenvil Irrigation Marlyn and Alice Fike; Tractor Supply Curtis Fry, his wife and son; Patty s Lawn Care, Patty Vacek, Mike Amundson and Patty s sister; South Central Bobcat, Rod and Michelle Brooks; NAPA, Dick and Patty Hysel; Cal Wallin and friend (show sign is on his property on Hwy 6); Goff Family, Barney and Shawna, Chuck and Mary Uden (baling and corn donation); and Wicker Witch Repair and Antiques, Ron and Stephanie Snow. President John Howsden welcomed the group and recognized the sponsors. The group enjoyed a meal of smothered steak, au gratin cheesy potatoes, various salads, rolls, and desserts as well as lemonade, Jan 2018 tea and coffee after an opening prayer. Many thanks to the Glenvil Legion for allowing us to use the meeting room and kitchen. Meal preparers appreciated the tips offered by Lee Sherman. Thanks to Cody Shears for helping prepare the meal as well as 3 club members and those who helped put tables and chairs away and sweep the floor. Many hands helping makes the work load lighter. Membership Fees and Renewals Effective 2/ 2017 newing your membership at the annual show, Donna will continue to accept them at the show office. Membership Fees to join PVAMA are $20 per year. If dues are not paid by October 1st, member will no longer be considered a member as per the by-laws. New person(s) joining after Jan will have their Any member renewing their membership prior to the annual show, send your payment directly to the treasurer Ken Stein (address above). He will then notify both the secretary & newsletter editor so they may keep their records up to date. Membership forms will be updated to reflect this change. If remembership fees extended to the 2nd show (ie: pay on/or after Jan 17, membership expires 8/18). This does not apply to members who let their membership lapse and then renew after January. 65+ Any member 65+ years of age may pay $150 one-time for a life-time paid membership. (non-refundable). 60+ $200 for lifetime membership

Celebration of Life Service will be in Sat Jan 13th at the Eagles Club in Hastings at.. Steve and his wife Sharlene are former members of the club. Jan 2nd, Tuesday 9 am take down Christmas trees at Hastings Museum. Belated Christmas Party, Saturday Jan 6, 2018. Black Powder Restaurant on Hwy 136 west in Franklin 12 noon. 2 meat buffet, (roast beef, turkey and dressing) 2 potatoes, 2 vegetables, salad bar and tea, water or coffee for $14.95 per person. Thanks Sue Uhrich for making these arrangements. From March thru August the Upcoming PVAMA events monthly meetings will be held on the first Sunday of the month at various locations. Watch the newsletter for the locations. March 4th meeting will be held at St Libory Catholic Church Parish Hall, St Libory at 1 p.m. in conjunction with the Antique Toy and Country Crafts Show sponsored by the Central NE Antique Tractor and Equipment Club. The meet starts at 9 a.m. and there is a $2.00 admission per person regardless of the time you arrive. Food is available. Joint Club Mtg April 8th, Alda Note change due to Easter. All NE Tractor Ride (2 day) June 15 and 16, 2018. Starting point both days is Imperial Mall. Steak Supper Friday evening for all participates & other meals are included. Registration deadline is May 25th with early bird reduced registration March 1st. Featuring Allis Chalmers and Minneapolis Moline tractors and equipment. Crystal Lake Recreation Area. Board Meetings are held on the 4th Tuesday of each month (except for December). Usually they are held at 6 p.m. for a meal and 7 pm business meeting. These are open meetings, meaning any member is welcome to attend. Ideas are always welcome. Busines mtg will be at 1:45 p.m. with election of officers. Up for election will be President, Vice President and 2 board members. A member of the nominating committee will be calling members asking for your involvement. Also consider volunteering for show coordinator (needs to be in place by July 2018,), show advertising chairperson, donation chairperson, merchandise chairperson, paperwork chairperson, handout chairperson, & tote chairperson.
