THE JOURNEY OF A THOUSAND MILES BEGINS WITH ONE STEP IITTM is all set to steer the event facilitator programme as part of Hunar Se RozgarTak Scheme (HSRT). The Govt. of India, Ministry of Tourism has launched Hunar Se Rozgar Scheme, way back in 2010 to create employable skills in the interested youth who are in the age group of 18-25 years and who are minimum 8th pass. Under the scheme training has been given in Food & Beverage Services, housekeeping and food production. In the meeting to discuss the agenda for Action Points for the first 100 days agenda of new Government, there emerged an understanding that a training programme to bring up event facilitators would greatly contribute to a tourist friendly service. In the context, it was decided to add the proposed trade along with others covered under HSRT. IITTM, where excellence is a way of life, has years of expertise in dealing with training programmes and workshops of Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.
