The 4 th of July festivities and Kiddie Parade were again a hit, the Agate Days weekend and Art in the Park 15 th -16 th were awesome even with all the construction. The Moose Triathlon had a great turnout and beautiful weather on the 22nd! Then this past Friday we had the 15 th Annual Nine & Dine Golf Tourney and broke records again with sponsors. To wrap up July we had Crazy Corn Day on the 29 th outside Marketplace Foods. I am tired, BUT, on to the next few things, which is selling Raffle Tickets and telling everyone about BrewFest on Saturday, September 9 th at Doc s. A THANK YOU WON T CUT IT FOR ALL THE VOLUNTEERS WHO TAKE TIME OUT OF THEIR SUMMER TO HELP! TRULY, THANKS FOR ALL THE SUPPORT!! Get ready for the Chamber Raffle! We have 2 Grand Prize options, one is a $3500 Vacation Package to anywhere in the world provided by Escape by Travel, and the other is provided by Moose Lake Implement & Sport of a John Deere riding lawnmower, or cash, and will be selling 500 tickets at $20 each. Also, like last year I would like to get all of our Chamber members involved in selling the tickets. We will have prizes for the business that sells the most, and for the individual that sells the most! I am looking for volunteers to help sell outside Marketplace Foods on Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings throughout August and early September, so please let me know if you would like to help out!! Last year we sold out early, which was a great problem to have!!! OR come pick up a book of 10 and sell them!! The Drawing will take place on Friday, October 13 th at 7pm at the Moose Lake Golf Course. Looking Ahead 2018 Moose Lake Visitors Guide Production will begin to arrange and print the Moose Lake Area Visitors Guide. They are updated each year and various improvements are made, as well as extending the book and making it new and fresh. Get your business noticed and help draw an extended crowd to your business. These publications are the first thing we give new visitors to town and given out a Chamber events throughout the year and placed and many local spots. The Chamber of Commerce prints thousands of guides to distribute throughout the entire region and your business can be part of the buzz! The smallest act of kindness is worth more than the grandest intention.
