Victim left his home at 4:30pm to go to work. When he left he locked all the doors to the home. A family member and his friend were at the home. When victim returned home around 10:30pm, three of his TVs were missing. No signs of forced entry. When victim returned home all his doors were locked. Victim suspects family member and his friend. Both were not home at the time of reporting incident. Both have been identified and incident is under investigation.

08/31/2017 1:24pm 29000 Pointe O Woods (Apartment Storage Unit) Hasp Lock was pried off storage unit. Victim states she discovered her storage unit in the basement of her apartment building broken into and items are missing. 2- Lawn Mowers and a Shop Light Fixture are missing. 09/01/2017 8:36pm 29000 Somerset Dr. Unlocked front door. Victim states he was awakened by his ex-girlfriend standing next to his bed. Victim asked his ex-girlfriend to leave and states she had no business or permission to be in his house. After his ex-girlfriend left the residence victim discovered that she had taken his phone and external hard drives. Victim stated he received text messages from his exgirlfriend stating she has his phone. Suspect has been identified and incident is under investigation.

09/03/2017 3:12pm 23000 Mcallister Entry through unlocked door. >>>>>>>>>>>>>> This is what Neighborhood Watch is all about. The neighbor thought something was suspicious about the subject he observed. Following up on that suspicion he observed the subject inside a vacant home and immediately called the Police. Police Arrived a short time later and took the suspect into custody for Home Invasion! Great Job by citizen! >>>>>>>>>>>>> Tips: Let trusted neighbors know if you are not going to be at home Be cautious about who you let in your home for service and repairs Contact the Southfield Police Crime Prevention Bureau for a free home security inspection (248) 796-5409 Witness (neighbor walking his dog) observed suspect wearing a backpack in front of vacant residence. In the short period of time it took witness to turn to make sure his dog was still with him the suspect disappeared. Witness walked up to vacant residence in the 23000 Block of Mcallister. He looked in the front window and saw the same subject he had seen earlier inside the house. The subject seeing witness ran out of sight. Witness called the Police. Officers arrived on scene. Officers observed suspect walking away from the residence through the back yard. Officers ordered the subject to stop, to which he complied. Witness positively identified subject as the person he saw inside the vacant residence. The suspect was taken into custody for Entering w/o Permission. Officers recovered several tools and a glove from the suspect. A wallet was also recovered from suspect that belonged to a citizen from a bordering city. The owner was contacted and advised he lost his wallet a couple days ago. Additional charges pending from that jurisdiction. Great Job by the citizen!

Victim states that her daughter s boyfriend is in a gang and there are people looking for him. The daughter disputes mothers claim but isn t sure if suspect is in a gang because she has only dated him a few times. Suspect took the keys to the vehicle from the dining room table and victim believes he fled the state because a rival gang is looking for him. Suspect has been identified and incident is under investigation. 08/30/2017 12:18am 15000 George Washington Status I - Information Only Manufacturer DODGE Model CARAVAN Color BLU - Blue Description 2005 DODGE CARAVAN Notes IGNITION PANEL CRACKED/ DAMAGED Victim states he parked his vehicle in front of his residence at 7:00pm. At 10:00pm he noticed the dome light was on and the driver s door was ajar on his vehicle. Further inspection of the vehicle victim discovered that the steering column and ignition on his vehicle was damaged. Someone attempted to take the vehicle.

09/01/2017 9:39am 21000 N Hidden Rivers Dr. (Condos) Status SR - Both Stolen and Recovered Manufacturer Ford Model F150 License No. No Plate Color BLK - Black Vehicle Year 2017 Body Style 4D - 4 Door State MI License Year Description 2017 F150 Pickup Recovered Date/Time 09/01/2017 10:00am Location 21000 Block of Hidden Rivers Drive On 09/01/2017 Southfield Police Detectives received an anonymous tip that a Ford F150 pickup has been parked in the 21000 Block of Hidden Rivers Drive Southfield, Mi for months without moving. Detectives arrived at the location and observed the pickup backed into a car port. The pickup was covered in dust. A query of the Vin# thru lein returned clear no record on computer. Further investigation by Detectives after locating the hidden Vin# Detectives discovered that the vehicle was reported stolen out of a neighboring jurisdiction. The vehicle was recovered and the reporting agency was notified of the recovery. From: 08/31/2017 10:00pm To: 09/01/2017 6:30am 23000 Providence Dr. (Apartments) Status S - Stolen Manufacturer TOYOTA Model COROLLA Color SIL - Silver or Aluminum Vehicle Year 2015 Body Style 4D - 4 Door State MI License Year 2018 Description 2015 Toyota Corolla Victim states he parked his 2015 Toyota Corolla in the south lot of the Apartment Complex in the 23000 Block of Providence Dr. Sometime between 10:00pm and the following morning at 6:30am someone stole victim s vehicle. The vehicle had a personalized license plate.

Status R Recovered Stolen Manufacturer BUICK Model CENTURY Color Vehicle Year 2002 Body Style State MI Description Buick Century Southfield Officer was following vehicle and ran the plate on vehicle. The vehicle came back as a confirmed stolen out of Detroit. Officer continued to follow vehicle until other Officers arrived to assist. Additional Officers arrived and the vehicle was stopped w/o incident. The driver was questioned by Officers and made admissions that she stole the vehicle because she needed a ride home. The driver was arrested for R&C Motor Vehicle & No License Never Applied. The passenger in the vehicle checked clear and was released at the scene. Victim states sometime between 5:30pm and the following day at 6:30am someone cut the catalytic converters off two of their buses. The buses were parked at the Storage Business in the 21000 Block of 8 Mile Rd. 08/30/2017 2:52pm 19000 Dorset St. Status S - Stolen Manufacturer Huffy Model 20 Inch Color BLK - Black Description Girls with a Multi Colored Stripe on Center Bar. Victim states sometime overnight someone entered their unlocked and opened garage and took a bicycle. Victims states they also went through their car. Victim states she was delivered a package via Common Carrier on 08/28/2017 at 5:12pm according to the online tracking information that she was provided. Victim states sometime between 08/27/2017 @ 5:00pm- 08/31/2017 @ 3:00pm someone took the catalytic converter from his 2003 Cadillac Deville. From: 08/30/2017 9:30pm To: 08/31/2017 9:30am 20000 Camden Sq. (Apartments) 1-Wheel & Tire (Right Rear) was taken from victims 2011 GMC Terrain. Victim states sometime between 9:30pm and the following morning at 9:330am someone took one (1) wheel & Tire from his 2011 GMC Terrain.

From: 08/29/2017 9:30pm To: 08/30/2017 5:30am 20000 Wakedon St. Drivers door lock was damaged on victims 2003 Honda CRV. Victim states sometime between 9:30pm and the following morning at 5:30am someone attempted to enter his 2003 Honda CRV by damaging the driver s door lock. From: 08/30/2017 6:45am To: 08/30/2017 4:30pm 25000 Catalina St. Recycling Bin was taken from the front of victim s home. Victim states his recycling bin was stolen from in front of his home on Wednesday August 30, 2017 sometime between 6:45am & 4:30pm. No suspect information. 09/01/2017 7:46pm 20000 Covington Pkwy. Wallet was taken from 2015 Chrysler 300. Victim states sometime between 10:00pm and the following morning when he left to go to work someone entered victims unlocked vehicle and took victim s wallet containing his driver s license, debit card and misc. cash. From: 08/31/2017 8:30am To: 08/31/2017 5:00pm 24000 Sunnypoint Dr. Recycling Bin was taken from the front of victim s home. Victim stated her recycling bin was stolen from in front of her home on Thursday August 31, 2017 sometime between 8:30am & 5:00pm. No suspect information.

From: 09/02/2017 12:50pm To: 09/02/2017 5:56pm 23000 Greenfield Rd. I Phone 7 was taken. Victim, employee at restaurant advises she left her phone on a table on the north side of the restaurant, which is where the employees will commonly leave their phones. She last saw her phone on the table at approx. 12:50pm while she was working. The suspect came into the restaurant at approx. 1:00pm to speak with victim about completing some mechanical work on her vehicle. The suspect is known by a few of the employees as a mechanic, but she does not know him very well. Victim states she began to look for her phone at approximately 5:45pm but couldn t locate it. When suspect (mechanic) was notified that victim had contacted the police regarding her missing phone he immediately left. Interestingly, victim left before victim could pay him the she owed him for the work he did on her car? Officers reviewed surveillance video and observed suspect near the table that victims phone was and he made furtive movements indicating he most likely took victims phone. The suspect left in a Silver Lexus. Suspect is known by employees by his first name only. Suspect is W/M (Possibly Middle Eastern) Approximately 33 years of age. LSW a Blue Superman t-shirt, grey baseball hat, Louis Vuitton belt and black shorts. A possible suspect has been developed and incident is under investigation.

09/02/2017 3:00pm 25000 Lahser Rd. (Commercial- Salon) Status S Stolen License Plate Manufacturer CHRYSLER Model SEBRING Color BLU - Blue Vehicle Year 2009 Body Style State MI License Year 2017 Description License plate stolen from 2009 Chrysler Sebring. Tips: Ensure your vehicle is locked at all times and valuables are out of sight. Thieves wait for the right time and will move quickly Even if playing sports at a park ensure your vehicle is locked Victim states she last saw her license plate on her vehicle on 09/01/2017 @ 2:30pm. The following day 09/02/2017 at 3:00pm while sitting in her Salon in the 25000 Block of Lahser Rd. she noticed her license plate was missing from her 2009 Chrysler Sebring.

Attempt R/A Victims were sitting in their vehicle in the parking lot in the 20000 Block of Charlton Square. (Apartments Complex) Two unknown suspects approached their vehicle. The two suspects were wearing Halloween Masks and tapped on the window with small handguns. The female victim was driving and sped off leaving the Apartment Complex. Officer s completed an area check and did not locate any suspects. Tips: Always be aware of your surroundings and report suspicious incidents or persons to your local police. Be on the Look Out Highlights: Home Invasions in Area 13/ North of Catalpa between Greenfield Rd. & Pierce. Follow Up Information: Arrest made. A suspect believed to be involved in several Home Invasions recently in this area was arrested by Southfield Officers that have been working this area hard the past few weeks. Although the subject wasn t caught in the act of a Home Invasions, he was a Parole Absconder and was wanted for Parole Violations. The subject was on parole for Home Invasions and fits the description of earlier reports by witnesses relating to Home Invasions in the area. Officers were dispatched to the business reference known Retail Fraud suspects at the store. Officers arrived on scene and located two of the suspects in the parking lot. They were in a Silver Chrysler Town & Country. A third suspect was in the store. One of the subjects in the vehicle came back with a confirmed warrant out of the Lansing Tether Unit. He was arrested for the warrant. The subject that went into the store was located. When Officers asked subject for his identification he was uncooperative and gave Officers false information regarding his identity. Further investigation by Officers they identified the subject and he was found to have an MDOC record, and is currently a Parole Absconder. This subject was arrested for Obstruction & Parole Absconder. PWID Marijuana/ DWLS/ Possession of Prescription Narcotic w/o Prescription- 1- Arrest 08/31/2017 2:59am W Eight Mile Rd. & Berg Rd. Officer made a traffic stop for civil infraction. Officer contacted the driver of the vehicle and immediately detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The driver made admissions to Officer that he had just smoked a blunt in the vehicle. The driver also stated he had some marijuana remaining in the vehicle and showed Officer the packages in the center console. The driver did not have a medical marijuana card. The driver was arrested for Possession of Marijuana. The suspect s vehicle was impounded and during the inventory search of the vehicle Officers located suspected Prescription drug and a scale. The driver later told Southfield Detectives that he bought the marijuana and the prescription drugs from an unknown person in Detroit at a gas station. A Southfield Police Evidence Technician Field Tested the suspected Marijuana. Result was positive for possible presence of marijuana.

Leaving the Scene of a Personal Injury Accident: 1- Arrest 23000 Block of Providence Dr. 08/28/2017 9:56pm Officers were dispatched to Apartment Complex in the 23000 Block of Providence Dr. on a report of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle. The vehicle fled the scene being driven by a B/F. The vehicle was described as a Blue Malibu. The victim was treated at the scene and refused to go to the hospital. After Officers cleared the scene the victim traced her phone which she believed was imbedded in the suspect vehicle. The phone pinged in a nearby jurisdiction. The PD from that jurisdiction located the suspect vehicle. Southfield Officers went to their location for further investigation. The driver came out and admitted she was the one who struck the victim and left the scene. The suspect was arrested and lodged. The victims phone was recovered from the hood of the car.
