INTRODUCTION The Chimu Collections range consists of boutique properties, cruises & itineraries, throughout Latin America, designed for travellers seeking unique experiences. Experience two of South America's most famous countries Argentina and Brazil. Discover Argentina's elegant and cosmopolitan city of Buenos Aires, through to the magnificent Iguazu waterfalls with an added visit to the Jesuit Ruins and finally to the bustling and vivid city of Rio, this itinerary guides you through the highlights of these two countries. This itinerary allows you free time in Buenos Aires and Rio to do additional exploring. ITINERARY

DAY 1: Arrival transfer in Buenos Aires On arrival, please make your way through to the Arrivals Hall where our representative will be waiting for you to transfer you to your hotel. He/she will be holding a sign with your name on it. Should you not be able to locate them, please refer to the front of your itinerary for emergency contact details of our representative office. Please note this service is with a driver only. Buenos Aires, Argentina s elegant, historic and cosmopolitan capital, is known as the Paris of the South due to its European atmosphere with glamorous avenues lined with fashionable shops and Parisian-style restaurants and cafes. Located on the western shore of the estuary of the Río de la Plata, Buenos Aires has many fascinating neighbourhoods to explore including the colourful and lively La Boca, home to art galleries and tango shows; San Telmo with its restored mansions and antique stores and Recoleta, the city s most exclusive area. DAY 2: Buenos Aires City Tour This morning (or afternoon if you prefer) you will be collected by a local guide and a driver for a tour of Buenos Aires. The guide will take you on and off the beaten track in this lively and beautiful city. You will have a car at your disposal, but we recommend getting out and walking for some of the tour. Obviously the tour will take in the main highlights, but we would prefer to tailor the trip to your liking. It could be that you want to see more of the main sites, or it could be that you wish to stroll amongst the small local boutiques of Palermo or the Parisienne buildings of Recoleta.Duration: 5 hrs. DAY 3: Transfer to the airport for onward destination You will be collected from your hotel at the appropriate time and transferred to the airport for your onward flight. Transfer from Posadas to the Hotel Puerto Valle.

DAY 4: Exploring the Parana River Departing from the hotel s pier, it is possible to navigate the Paraná River on a small 7 person boat, touring the waterways that reach into the Paranaense forest. The forest is home to more than fifty tree species per hectare, resulting in an ecosystem that is ideal for watching birds and howler monkeys. While the boat proceeds on the calm waters in search of the animals, the guide will treat guests to a tasting of local goodies. Kayaks are also available for the more active guests. Only ten kilometers from the hotel, leaving behind fields, plantations and marshlands, one gets to the wharf, the starting point for a true adventure along a waterway leading to Laguna Valle. Caimans, capybaras, pampa deer, marshland deer and neotropical otters (lobitos de río) are some of the species that can be observed at a close distance along the way. As the solitary boat proceeds along the lake shores, making its way through the exuberant vegetation, you can try to identify the sound of some of the countless bird species. As the sun sets, the guide will serve a tasty local snack paired with the most traditional local beverage: mate. Overnight at Puerto Valle with all meals included. DAY 5: Transfer to Iguazu & Tour to Jesuit Ruins Today s transfer to Iguazu includes a visit to the World Heritage Jesuit Ruins of San Ignacio Mini. The spectacular Iguazu Falls that straddle the Argentine-Brazil border, are made up of 275 individual waterfalls lining a 2.7km wide horseshoe-shaped gorge. The Falls are located where the Iguazu River cascades over the edge of the Paraná Plateau. The Falls can be viewed from both the Argentinian and the Brazilian sides, the Brazilian side offering a broader, panoramic view, with the Argentinian side offering a series of catwalks that allow you to experience the Falls from close range.

DAY 6: Full Day Iguazu Argentinian Falls This morning we head to the Argentinean side of the Iguazu Falls. Beginning at the visitor s centre, we take a ride on the Rainforest Ecological train before exploring the upper and lower circuit footbridges. The footbridges, which are raised off the jungle floor, provide panoramic views from above and below the falls. A visit to Devil s Gorge arguably the most spectacular falls, is one of the day s many highlights. National Park entry fees included. DAY 7: Iguazu Half Day Brazilian Falls Today enjoy a half day tour of the Brazilian side of the falls. If you are staying on the Argentine side of the falls, you will require to bring your passport with your Brazilian visa. Visas cannot be obtained at the border. You will be collected from your hotel and taken to the Visitors Centre. From here board one of the Park Authority s tourist buses and enter the National Park. Equipped with panoramic windows, the buses are designed to maximize your views of the falls, while the walkways and steps provide you with great panoramic views of the Argentinian side of the falls. Views of the Floriana Falls, the Devil s Gorge Canyon and the Iguazu River are spectacular and are guaranteed to impress. National Park Fee included. You will be collected from your hotel at the appropriate time and transferred to the airport for your onward flight. On arrival, please make your way through to the Arrivals Hall where our representative will be waiting for you to transfer you to your hotel. This service includes a driver and local English speaking guide, who will provide you with any useful information needed for your stay. He/she will be holding a sign with your name on it. Should you not be able to locate them, please refer to the front of your itinerary for emergency contact details of our representative office. Known as the ''Cidade Maravilhosa'', or Marvellous City, Rio never fails to amaze with its sandy beaches, carefree lifestyle and unparalleled natural beauty. As the capital of Brazil until 1960, Rio is today one of the most culturally and economically prominent cities in the country, receiving more tourists than any other part of Brazil.

DAY 8: Corcovado & Sugarloaf with Lunch After an early pick up from your hotel, this tour makes its way to the bottom of Corcovado Hill, where we ascend the mountain by vehicle. Climbing 4km through the Tijuca Forest, the world s largest urban National Park, we will arrive at the statue of Christ the Redeemer. After taking in the panoramic views, continue to the Maracana Stadium. We also pass the Sambadrome and the Metropolitan Cathedral, before passing through the bohemian neighbourhood of Lapa and its famous arches en-route to Copacabana. Enjoy a traditional Brazilian BBQ lunch (beverages not included) before visiting the famous Sugarloaf Mountain with views across the entire city. After descending the mountain, you will be dropped off at your hotel. Please note this is a small group tour. DAY 9: Rio - Free Day Today is free to enjoy the rhythm of this vibrant, bustling city. From spotting the beautiful people on the legendary beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema, to exploring the famous favelas on a tour there is always something to do in Rio. DAY 10: Transfer to the airport for onward destination You will be collected from your hotel at the appropriate time and transferred to the airport for your onward flight.
