Experience It! Fallingwater In the countryside of southwestern Pennsylvania is one of Frank Lloyd Wright s greatest creations Fallingwater. This National Historic Landmark was built between 1936 and 1939 and designed for the Kaufmann family. Built over a waterfall, the home features layers of his trademark straight lines with glass walls and appears to be suspended over the falling water. It s interruptive with its shape and at the same time at home in its surroundings with its organic composition and natural color palette. This home became famous even as it was being built and was featured on the cover of Time magazine in 1938. Today, the public is able to explore the house as it was designed decades ago with original furnishings, artwork and setting intact!
