SM HIGHLIGHTS A truly unique and privileged evening at Windsor Castle. The very finest chance of observing the northern lights at their most dramatic time of year, around the Spring Equinox. We have exclusively taken over a remote Wilderness Lodge and are building you luxury chalet accommodation, as well as your very own aurora observation dome, a complete bedroom in itself with bathroom and sauna. Travel to and from the Arctic Circle, into Finland and out of Norway, by Private Jet. Exciting adventures await: rally car racing on a purpose built ice track in the middle of the wilderness, safaris by snowmobiles, dogsleds and reindeer sleighs with extraordinary picnics, lessons in winter survival skills, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing and more. Rare, authentic and privileged interaction with Sami nomads, Shamans and their reindeer herds. Guest lecturers who are heads of their field on the aurora borealis, the Arctic environment and the anthropology of the Sami peoples. SM YOUR ITINERARY 25th March: Unique evening at Windsor Castle, London You are met off your flight in London and transferred to the timeless glamour of the Dorchester Hotel overlooking Hyde Park. Early this evening, drive to Windsor Castle for a truly extraordinary and exclusive experience. This is insider access at its most discreet, unique and privileged. And we cannot say much more about it here. 26th March: Private Jet flight to the Arctic Circle This morning fly by Private Jet to Northern Finland, in the heart of the Arctic Circle. Accommodation is scarce in the Arctic Circle so we have taken over a wilderness lodge and are upgrading it to our exacting standards especially for this expedition. As well as a beautiful en suite room in a timber clad chalet, you also have your very own aurora observation dome that you may choose to sleep in. This cosy, architectural dome is a comfortable bedroom in itself, with full en suite bathroom and sauna, and is designed to afford glorious views of the frozen, scintillating night skies. Needless to say, the food and wine will be of the very highest standards, created and cooked by our very own celebrated chefs. This evening a specialist will tell us about the aurora borealis. 27th March: Snowshoe, snowmobile and Sami A whole host of activities are available each day. First thing each morning, there is snowshoeing and cross-country skiing for those who would like to, instructed and led by expert guides. Venture out into the wilderness on your first snowmobile foray and have a sumptuous Arctic picnic lunch out in the woods. Later in the afternoon, you re met by Sami herders, the indigenous pastoralists of the Nordic region. Travelling on reindeer-pulled sleighs, they lead you into the forests to introduce their authentic way of living, their traditional and contemporary culture, and the mysticism of their Shamans. 28th March: Ice driving with championship racing drivers Today is a day of serious thrills. We have built an extraordinary ice-racing track in the middle of the frozen landscape and have brought in high-performance cars. Champion racing drivers will instruct and introduce you to the course before it is your turn to display your skills. 29th March: Survival skills, Arctic treasure hunt and concert This morning learn winter survival skills from a world authority and then, mounted on snowmobiles, put your newfound abilities to the test on our Inspiring Arctic Expedition Treasure Hunt. In the evening travel by snowmobile to a very magical concert in an ice temple that has been designed and crafted exclusively for you. 30th March: Northern Norway and dogsledding adventure This morning, fly by chartered plane across the frozen lakes and forests of Finland and into the dramatic and impressive fjords of Northern Norway. Meet your husky team at the head of a frozen sea fjord that leads into the Barents Sea and travel by dogsled down the fjord, stopping to fish through the deep ice for giant crabs. Continue on snowmobiles to arrive at a very remote and very beautiful farmhouse for an incredible gourmet lunch. Later in the afternoon, track by snowmobile to your hotel. We have taken the finest individual chalets within a small resort exclusively, and you enjoy private dining this evening. 31st March: Private Jet flight to London Fly by Private Jet back to London, where you re transferred to the Dorchester Hotel.
