Introducing the Tour Director Ferrell Jenkins has been conducting tours of the Bible Lands and other destinations for Christians since 1967. He served as chairman of the department of Biblical Studies at Florida College, Temple Terrace, Florida (1991-2001). He continues to preach and conduct special lecture series in various parts of the country, and is author of several books. He is an active member of several scholarly societies including the Near East Archaeological Society, Society of Biblical Literature and the Evangelical Theological Society. In 1980 he served on the institutional staff for the archaeological excavations at Lachish. Jenkins frequently presents illustrated lectures on Bible Lands and Customs and on Archaeology and the Bible. His knowledge of the Bible, Bible lands andbiblical Archaeology, along with his expertise in arranging and directing tours, will make the Bible come alive for you. Elizabeth travels with Ferrell on many of the tours. She is a delightful, fun-loving person, who enjoys the excitement of foreign travel. Proceed to the picturesque villages of Lauterbrunnen, with its Truemmelbach Falls, and Grindelwald, then to your hotel in Lucerne for the night. (B,D) Sunday, September 13 Lucerne to Innsbruck Drive to Innsbruck, capital of the Austrian province of Tyrol, set in the heart of the Alps. The 800-year-old city was named for the bridge across the Inn River, first built in the 12th century. On your orientation tour of Innsbruck, view the Goldenes Dachl (Golden Roof), a late Gothic oriel with 2,657 gold-plated tiles. It was built under the rule of Emperor Maximilian I as a royal box for spectacles held in the square below. Also see Wilten Basilica, Hofburg Palace and Maria Theresia Avenue. It was here that Dante, Boccaccio and Petrarch wrote, and Michelangelo, da Vinci and many others worked. In addition to the art treasures, both in and out of the museums, Florence lends itself to leisurely strolling and relaxation. Your morning sightseeing tour takes you to the Piazza della Signoria where the Neptune Fountain stands, the Santa Croce Church, and the Baptistry with its renowned Gates of Paradise doors. General Conditions DEPOSITS AND FINAL PAYMENTS: A deposit of $400 per person is required at time of booking. No reservation is considered firm until deposit has been received. Full payment is due 100 days prior to departure. TRAVEL DOCUMENTS: A U.S.A. passport valid for 6 months after date of re-entry into the U.S.A. is required. (Non-U.S.A. citizens may require visas in addition to a valid passport). It is the responsibility of each passenger to check with the respective consulate(s) of the countries to be visited or a visa agency to determine whether they have the proper visa/travel documents for their tour. THE TOUR PRICE INCLUDES A DISCOUNT FOR CASH PAYMENT AND AIR TRANSPORTATION: By any IATAN/ARC jet carrier in economy class based on non-refundable bulk group fares. Airlines reserve the right to impose full cancellation penalties. All deviation requests from the group itinerary must be received at Nawas in writing no later than 100 days prior to departure. A $100 fee per person will be charged on all deviations in addition to any extra airfare that may be incurred. Air deviations are subject to availability and restrictions as imposed by the airline. Airline tickets must bear your first and last name as it appears on your passport. We strongly recommend all tour members retain both their ticket receipts and boarding passes as copies of same cannot be provided. SURFACE TRANSPORTATION: By deluxe motorcoach. HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS: In first class/select hotels based on 2 persons sharing a twin bedded room with a private bath. Nawas cannot guarantee roommates. A person taking a single room (subject to availability) must pay a supplement of $700 MEALS: Continental breakfast daily and dinner daily are provided. SIGHTSEEING: As specified in the itinerary using motorcoach transportation or other conveyances as required. Entrance fees and the services of local English-speaking guides or tour managers are included. TRANSFERS: Assistance and transfers from airports to hotels and vice versa in private motorcoach. SERVICE CHARGES AND TAXES: Service charges and taxes normally included in bills, government taxes on hotel bills, taxes on sightseeing and excursion trips and porterage at hotels of one normal-size suitcase (maximum weight 50 lbs.) are included in tour price. FLIGHT INSURANCE: Automatic one hundred thousand dollars flight insurance policy for each Nawas-ticked passenger, subject to policy terms and limitations. BAGGAGE: Allowed free of charge to your first overseas destination and from most points of return to the U.S.A.: a maximum of one bag per person (weighing 50 pounds or less) with a combined length, width and height of 62 inches plus one Carry-on Bag with total dimensions of 45 inches (approximately 22" x 14" x 9") which fits in an overhead bin or underneath the seat in front of you. Beyond the first overseas stopover point free weight allowances range from 33 lbs to 50 lbs. Excess baggage will be charged at the established rates. Airline policies regarding baggage are subject to change at any time without prior notice. It is the responsibility of each passenger to check with their airline directly prior to departure for baggage information, regulations and compliance. Nawas is not responsible for additional fees imposed by air carriers regarding baggage. Nawas Travel accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to the tour members baggage or personal belongings. Baggage insurance is recommended and is available upon written request. TRAVELERS REQUIRING SPECIAL ASSISTANCE: Disabled travelers requiring special attention or care must advise NAWAS in writing at the time of reservation. A physically able companion must accompany any person who needs special assistance. Tour directors, guides, drivers or other tour, hotel or ship personnel are not able to provide such assistance. NAWAS is not responsible for any denial of services to the disabled participant by air carriers, cruise ships, hotels, restaurants or other independent suppliers. Certain countries/destinations can involve extensive walking. Be aware that outside the U.S. the Americans with Disabilities Act is not applicable and facilities for disabled individuals are limited. NAWAS is not responsible for any passenger requiring special medical equipment. THE TOUR PRICE DOES NOT INCLUDE: U.S. taxes, overseas airport taxes, overseas local government taxes, airline security fees/surcharges and airline fuel surcharges (total estimated taxes/surcharges at $325 to $425 per person), passport fees, visa fees (if any), phone calls, valet/laundry service, wines, liquors, mineral water, after dinner coffee or tea, tips to escort, guides, drivers and waiters, sightseeing and other services not specifically mentioned, excess baggage and all other items of a purely personal nature. CANCELLATIONS: For written cancellations received by Nawas Travel up to 100 days prior to departure, refunds will be made less a $100 per person administrative fee. From 99 to 70 days prior to departure, written cancellations received by Nawas Travel are subject to a $300 per person cancellation fee. From 69 to 30 days prior to departure, written cancellations received by Nawas Travel are subject to 50% cancellation fee of the total tour price per person. From 29 days prior to departure, written cancellations received by Nawas Travel are subject to 100% cancellation fee of the total tour price per person. Failure to receive final payment by the due date may result in the cancellation of your reservation and the forfeiture of your deposit. Airline tickets are not refundable once issued. No refunds will be given for any unused services while on tour. We strongly recommend the purchase of trip cancellation insurance to allow for any unexpected medical emergency. Trip cancellation insurance is available upon written request. IMPORTANT NOTICE: The airfare used is based on non-refundable bulk group fares in effect on October 30, 2008 and is subject to change by the airlines without prior notice. Tour members will be required to pay any airfare increases as imposed by the airlines prior to departure. Airlines require a minimum of 10 persons departing from the same gateway city. Land costs are based on a minimum of 32 participants, overseas government taxes, estimated 2009 land rates and the value of foreign currencies in relation to the U.S. dollar as of October 30, 2008. The right is reserved to adjust the land costs consistent with normal increases as well as fluctuations in exchange rates. Any increases in land costs or airfare that may subsequently occur will be collected from each passenger prior to departure. Please note that healthcare/medical costs outside the U.S.A. are not covered by Medicare and many private medical insurance plans. Please consult with your health insurance supplier to obtain the necessary health/medical coverage for overseas travel.

NAWAS reserves the right to cancel the tour at any time, to operate the tour without a tour host/leader or with a substitute tour host/leader at any time, to decline or retain any person as a member of the tour for any cause at any time, or to make changes in the published itinerary whenever in their sole judgment conditions warrant, or if they deem it necessary for the comfort, convenience or safety of the tour. All prices are based on current rates of exchange and while every effort will be made to hold them firm, they are subject to change. The airlines concerned are not to be held responsible for any act, omission or event during the time passengers are not on board their plane or conveyance.
