Chairman's Ramblings What glorious weather we have been experiencing and what a fantastic turnout at the shows. The Big Sheep show was a great success with over 100 vehicles attending, thanks go out to Chris Arscott for continuing to be the Club lead organiser. There was a great mix of cars, a veritable feast of shiny chrome and paint! The Ilfracombe show, staged at the end of the Ilfracombe Victorian week! was also very well attended with several of our members digging deep in their wardrobes for suitable attire, even Queen Victoria almost managed a smile...almost! Thanks again to Gleen, Trish, John and Anne for all they do for the Club. The Hartland Abbey show, a late notice event went really well with some very expensive machinery on display including Astons and Ferraris amongst the 50 or so cars. The cream teas went down well and the icing on the cake was England winning one of their group matches (against Panama). The show season continues at pace, but I would like to draw your attention to the North Devon Children's Hospice charity run on Sept 2nd as Bob Harrison needs to get a handle on numbers soon for the lunch stop! (entry form in mag/on FB) As ever if you can give as much notice as possible to all event organisers it ensures you get a place on the event and makes the organisers task so much easier. Club Logo Mugs and Pin Badges We have had some mugs and coasters printed, they are available from the Chairman via email. They are 5 pet set and can be collected from a show or posted for extra cost. We also have our new pin badges. Made out of metal with an enamelled face displaying our logo. A nice high quality item, priced at 5 plus postage or collection from a show. Available from our Chairman Tim

The Big Sheep This year at the big sheep we filled the car park with a huge variety of cars. All the exhibitors also got free entrance to the site.

Ilfracombe Although things started off a bit drizzly, then sun shone through on us later in the day. We had quite a good turnout overall despite the negative forecast.

CLUB T SHIRTS AND FLEECES ETC A local company has agreed to produce, pack and post T shirts, Fleeces and caps etc with the Club logo on. This saves Committee members having to organise it and paying up front out of their own pockets. The website address is as below and the prices are the same as we have paid before albeit there is now a post and packing charge. Order yours now from:http://www.portlantis.com/ndsccc Calender Competition We are going to be running a competition for an NDSCCC 2019 Calender. We want you to send in the best pictures of your pride and joy for a chance to be on it. Your pictures will have to be high quality. Send them to the Editor or Chairman.

Hartland Abbey Nestled in the coastal hills is Hartland Abbey, we had to get down some twisty lanes but it was worth the trek. There was a very good turnout with brilliant weather that we have been experiencing lately. There was a few exotic cars with a few Ferraris and Rusty's Meteor that needed a push from the local Firemen.
