(Residential- Apartments) Lock was broken on apartment door. Victim states she left her apartment at approx. 12:15pm. She returned to her apartment at approx. 1:10pm to discover her apartment had been broken into. Victim discovered that several items including her American Bull Dog were taken. Officer investigating reviewed victim s surveillance video. It shows an unknown B/M (approximately 40-50 years old, bald, wearing a long black coat with fur around the hood, blue jeans, black boots, and a blue shirt) remove several items from the apartment. Officer also observed the male talking on a white cell phone to an unknown subject about what items to take and where to take them. Incident is under investigation. Victim suspects the vehicle was taken by a female who had spent the night with him. This person is only known to victim by her first name. 04/05/2018 10:59am 20000 Independence (Elementary School) Status F - Found Manufacturer FORD Model FOCUS License No. 2018 Color RED - Red Vehicle Year 2013 Body Style 4D - 4 Door State MI License Year DRL9 Description 2013 FORD FOCUS Southfield Officers were dispatched to the 20000 Block of Independence (Public Elementary School) on report of a suspicious vehicle. City employee (Custodian) arrived to enter the building and observed a vehicle (2013 Ford Focus Red) parked on the south side of the building. Officers arrived on scene, located the vehicle parked in a suspicious manner and discovered it was a confirmed stolen out of another jurisdiction. Officers also checked the school and it was secure. When the towing company arrived to impound the vehicle, a subject appeared and claimed ownership of the vehicle. The subject stated he bought the vehicle recently from a subject on Craigslist. He was staying at a nearby residence and the homeowner didn t want the vehicle parked at his residence. The subject had no paperwork or title for the vehicle. Upon running subject through LEIN it was discovered he had a Warrant out of another state for Obtaining Money by False Pretenses. The jurisdiction was contacted and they confirmed the warrant and stated they would extradite. Suspect was taken into custody for the Warrant and the vehicle was impounded and recovered.

04/06/2018 11:58am 24000 Telegraph Rd. (Commercial- Leasing Agency) Status S - Stolen Manufacturer Dodge Model Dart Color RED - Red Vehicle Year 2016 Body Style 4D - 4 Door State FL License Year 2019 Description 2016 Red Dodge Dart Representative from Leasing Agency stated vehicle was rented to subject on 03/12/2018. The vehicle was supposed to be returned on 03/17/2018. Leasing Agency sent lessee a letter on 04/02/2018 stating he must return the vehicle by 04/06/2018. The vehicle was never returned. Suspect has been identified and incident is under investigation. From: 04/07/2018 9:30pm To: 04/08/2018 10:00am (2- Incidents) 17000 Jeanette St. Status S - Stolen Manufacturer SATURN Model VUE Color GLD - Gold Vehicle Year 2009 Body Style 4D - 4 Door State MI License Year 2018 Description MOTOR VEHICLE Victim states sometime between 9:30pm and the following morning at 10:00am someone stole her 2009 Saturn Vue. Victim suspects her son or granddaughter s friends might have taken it because her keys are missing from her purse. Officers were called back to residence on 04/08/2018 @ 11:50am for a Family Trouble. The owner of the stolen car confronted her Granddaughter about the car being stolen. It was discovered that the granddaughter invited a friend over and she brought two unknown friends over with her. The victim was asleep when the subjects arrived at her house. One of the subjects intentionally poured tomato sauce onto victim s white carpet, then stole an undisclosed amount of cash and a car key from victim s purse. The same male then proceeded to steal victim s 2009 Gold Saturn Vue.

The Granddaughter states she doesn t know who the subject was that stole the money and her Grandmothers car. The female friend of the granddaughter has been identified and incident is under investigation. Suspect#1 (Friend of Granddaughter) B/F 14 years old. Suspect#2 (Friend of Suspect#1) B/M, Anthony - 15 years old, light skin, buzzed hair, 5'-9'' Suspect#3 (Friend of Suspects #1 & #2) (Subject that took money and victims car) B/M, Unknown, Light skin, Short hair, 16 years old. Tips: Never leave your vehicle running unattended Park in areas where your vehicle is viewable if possible Use commercially available security devices

Larceny: Date/Time Address (block range) Item Taken Details 04/05/2018 6:00pm 04/06/2018 3:51am 04/05/2018 11:46pm 22000 Ivanhoe Misc. Personal items were taken from victims 2008 Dodge Charger. 22000 Ivanhoe Ln. Nothing was taken. Entry wasn t gained into the vehicle. An unknown suspect(s) entered the victim s 2008 Dodge Charger through an unlocked door. Taken: Miscellaneous personal items. R/P and her sister heard some type of noise coming from outside around 11:46pm. R/P accessed the security cameras at her residence and saw someone trying to get into her vehicle. R/P played the video for Officers. On the video, a smaller black SUV (unknown make/plate) stops in front of R/P s house. A B/M wearing a gray hoodie runs from the SUV into R/P s driveway and squats down low between the vehicles. The B/M suspect shines a cellphone light into the Grand Cherokee and pulls on the passenger door handle which is locked. The B/M runs back to the SUV which then drives off s/b on Ivanhoe. Nothing was taken and no access was gained into any of the vehicles in the driveway. Note: Two other vehicles were attacked in the same area, one on Ivanhoe and one on Twyckingham.

04/05/2018 9:30pm 04/06/2018 7:15am 22000 Twyckingham 2- Prescription Medication Bottles were taken from the unlocked vehicle. Victims 2016 Black GMC Sierra was gone through. Two prescription medication bottles were taken from the unlocked vehicle. No suspect information. 04/05/2018 4:00pm 04/06/2018 8:00am 27000 Northwestern (Hotel) The driver side passenger window was broken out and the vehicle had been gone through but nothing appeared to be missing. Victims 2018 Gray Ford F150 truck was attacked. The driver side passenger window was broken out and the vehicle had been gone through but nothing appeared to be missing. No suspect information. 04/05/2018 4:00pm 04/06/208 8:00am 27000 Northwestern (Hotel) The passenger side rear window had been broken and the vehicle had been gone through. Nothing appeared to have been taken. Victims 2017 Black Dodge Durango was attacked. The passenger side rear window had been broken and the vehicle had been gone through. Nothing appeared to have been taken. No suspect information. From: 04/05/2018 11:45pm To: 04/06/2018 8:00am 27000 Northwestern (Hotel) Briefcase containing, laptop, charger, hotspot, mouse, personal bank papers, social security information was taken from victims 2016 Dodge Ram P.U. Truck. Victim states sometime between 11:45pm and the following morning at 8:00am someone broke out window on his 2016 Dodge Ram and stole his briefcase containing several items.

04/05/2018 12:56pm 27000 Northwestern (Hotel) In-Dash Navigation System was taken from 2018 Chrysler 300. Victim states sometime between 9:00pm and the following day at 2:00pm someone broke out window on his rental vehicle, a 2018 Chrysler 300 and stole the In-Dash Navigation System. 04/07/2018 10:15am- 12:40am 17000 Eight Mile Rd. (Commercial- Cleaners) 1-Wheel & Tire was taken from victims 2016 Buick Enclave. Victim parked her 2016 Buick Enclave at the business in the 27000 Block of 8 Mile Rd. at 10:15am. When victim returned to her vehicle at 12:40pm the passenger side rear Wheel & Tire were missing and the vehicle was on a landscape brick. No suspect information at this time. 04/07/2018 6:00pm 04/08/2018 10:00am 25000 Grodan (Residential- Apartments) In-Dash Stereo System was taken from Chrysler 300. R/P states that someone stole the In-Dash Radio out of her Chrysler 300. Entry was gained by braking out rear passenger window. No suspect info at this time. 04/03/2018 4:09am 25000 Shiawassee Rd (Residential- Apartments) 3 Sundown speakers and custom speaker box were taken from victims 2007 Dodge Magnum. Victim states sometime between 10:00pm and the following morning at 4:10am someone stole 3- Sundown Speakers and 1- Custom Speaker Box from victim s vehicle.

From: 04/03/2018 7:00pm To: 04/04/2018 6:25am 23000 Plumbrooke Dr. A jar containing coin change was taken from the center console. Victim states sometime between 7:00pm and the following morning at 6:25am someone broke out window on vehicle and stole a jar containing some coin change from the center console. Note: there was also some minor damage under the steering wheel. Possibly attempted to steal the vehicle as well? 04/03/2018 5:30pm 23000 Greenfield Rd. (Commercial- Cell Phone) IPad was taken. Employee for business in the 23000 Block of Greenfield Rd. was showing suspect some ipad s when he reached over the counter and snatched one and fled the store. The suspect had filled out a credit application prior to taking the ipad. Possible Suspect Information was obtained from the credit application. Incident is under investigation. From: 04/03/2018 12:00pm To: 04/03/2018 12:15pm 25000 Telegraph Rd. (Commercial- Pizza) Briefcase, Laptop & Cell Phone were taken from victims opened trunk on his vehicle. Victim states after watching the College Basketball Championship Game he went out to his car to look for his cell phone. After opening the trunk on his vehicle, he decided to go back inside the restaurant to go to the bathroom. Victim left his trunk open. When he returned he discovered that his Briefcase, Laptop and Cell Phone were taken from the trunk. From: 04/04/2018 5:34am To: 04/04/2018 5:36am 19000 Birchridge St. Garage Door Opener was taken from victims 2008 Dodge Charger. you re only going to be away from your vehicle for a short period of time! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Victim states at approx. 5:34am she was awakened by the sound of her garage door opening. Victim immediately called the police. Officers arrived and together with the victim they reviewed her surveillance video. At 5:34am a black vehicle driving w/b on Birchridge stops in front of victim s residence. 2- B/M s, both wearing gray hoodies, exit the vehicle and run up to victims Dodge Charger. They enter the unlocked vehicle. The first suspect then pops the trunk and rummages through the front of the car as the second suspect looks in the trunk. The second suspect then comes over to the front passenger side window with a flashlight and shines a light into the vehicle. Both suspects then hurry back to their vehicle and leave w/b off camera view around 5:36am. As the suspects drove off victim s garage door opened. Victim discovered that her garage door opener was taken from her car. It s not believed that the suspects went into the garage. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Citizens that park their cars in their driveway should never leave their garage door opener in their vehicles. Doing this gives thieves easy access to your garage. In this incident victim will

have to re-program a new garage door opener so the suspects can t come back and get into her garage with the stolen opener! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> From: 04/03/2018 10:00pm To: 04/04/2018 8:30am 23000 Park Place Dr. (Residential- Apartments) Wheel lock key and a Pr. of sunglasses were taken from victims 2018 Dodge Charger. Victim states sometime between 10:00pm and the following morning at 8:30am someone broke out window on vehicle and stole victims wheel lock key and a pair of sunglasses. 04/04/2018 12:42pm 30000 Northgate Dr. Common Carrier Package containing vitamins and other food items was taken. Victim states on 04/04/2018 a package was delivered to the front porch of her home at approx. 11:30am. The package contained vitamins and miscellaneous food items. When victim returned home at the end of the day she observed that the package was not on the porch. Victim reviewed her surveillance cameras and observed a suspect steal the package from her porch at approx. 12:31pm. The suspect entered a Black SUV, possibly an Older Ford Escape, driven by a second unknown suspect. Suspect Description: - B/M - Approximately 6'-0 - Medium build - Goatee and mustache - Wearing a black skull cap - Light grey crew neck sweatshirt with unknown writing on front - White t-shirt under sweatshirt

- Light grey sweatpants - Tan boots, possibly Timberlands From: 04/05/2018 5:00pm To: 04/06/2018 9:00am 17000 George Washington Dr. IPad Touch was taken from victims unlocked 2006 Dodge Charger. Armed Robbery: Date/Time Address (block range) Item Taken Details 04/04/2018 11:13pm 30000 Woodgate Dr. Attempt Armed Robbery and Possible Attempt Home Invasion. Victim states after going to a Pistons Basketball Game he picked up his girlfriend. Victim stopped by his home on Woodgate Dr. to get some money while his girlfriend waited in the car. Victim was approaching his front door to his residence when he heard some ruffling in the bushes. As he was unlocking his front door an unknown B/M appeared and pointed a gun at him. Victim entered his residence and immediately slammed the door shut. Officers questioned the female that was with victim. (witness) Witness states her boyfriend went into his house and two guys came from his backyard. One of the subjects went towards the front door and confronted her boyfriend and the other came towards the car where she was sitting and told her to open the door. Witness states she moved over into the driver's seat, put the car in reverse and pulled out of the driveway. Both suspects fled towards 13 Mile Rd. A Southfield Police K-9 Officer was called to the scene and conducted a track. The track ended near the sidewalk in 30000 Block of Woodgate where it is possible the suspects got into a vehicle at this location. During the track Officers did recover evidence

that is believed to be related to this incident. Further investigation by Officers they located a screen that had been removed on one of the ground level windows of victim s residence. Victim advised that wasn t like that prior to leaving residence earlier. It is possible that suspects were in the process of breaking into victim s residence when he came home. Also Note: Victims mother reported that later the same day after incident she observed a suspicious vehicle occupied by three B/M subjects parked in front of the victim s house on Woodgate. The vehicle eventually drove off. The vehicle was a White Ford Explorer. Be on the Look Out Highlights: Special Attention: Fleeing & Eluding/ F/A with a Motor Vehicle & Suspect Information 04/06/2018 2:56pm W Eight Mile Rd. & Evergreen Rd. Southfield Officer was on routine patrol, ran a plate on vehicle and the registered owner came back with a Confirmed Felony Warrant out of another jurisdiction for Dangerous Drugs. Officer approached the vehicle in a parallel position and positively identified the driver and the wanted suspect. When Officer attempted to stop the vehicle, it fled from him. A pursuit was initiated and at some point, during the pursuit the suspect deliberately struck Officers vehicle, disabling it. Suspect has been identified and incident is under further investigation. Special Attention: Fleeing & Eluding Inc.# 18/13726 04/05/2018 11:17pm Northwestern & 8 Mile Rd. Southfield Officers attempted to stop vehicle for a traffic violation. The driver failed to stop and vehicle pursuit ensued. The pursuit was terminated a short time later at M-10 and Livernois. Suspect vehicle: A Silver 2017 Nissan Rogue with a Tennessee Plate. Arrests by SPD Officers: Fleeing & Eluding- 1- Arrest 04/06/2018 10:23am I-696 & Northwestern Lathrup Village PD, Officer was in pursuit of a Lime Green Dodge Challenger. He terminated the pursuit due to its high speed. Southfield Officers were in the area and last observed the suspect vehicle travelling W/B on I-696. The information was given to MSP A short time later MSP notified Southfield Dispatch that they had the suspect vehicle on camera on the shoulder of the roadway at I-696 & I-275. MSP, Southfield and Lathrup Officer s responded to that area and located the suspect vehicle stopped on the shoulder of the roadway. The driver and two occupants were detained. The driver made admissions to Officers that he had been driving the vehicle and fled from Officers. He stopped only because he ran out of gas! The driver was arrested for Fleeing and Eluding and one occupant was arrested for warrants.

B&E Auto/ Shots Fired 04/08/2018 8:06am 28000 Block of Franklin Rd. (Hotel) Officers responded to Hotel in the 28000 Block of Franklin, on two calls of shots fired. Upon arrival, Officers contacted a subject who reported that he observed someone who broke into his truck. The R/P yelled at the suspect at which time the suspect exited victims truck and fled to a Black Chevy Impala. When the suspect exited victim s vehicle, the R/P observed that the suspect was armed. As the suspect fled in the Impala, victim, a CPL holder, shot at the suspect. The rounds struck the vehicle, however, it was not known if the suspect himself was struck. The scene was processed and evidence was recovered. Suspect is a B/M 6-2 with braids, wearing a dark hoodie. This incident is under further investigation. Domestic F/A- 1- Arrest 04/07/2018 2:29am 16000 Block of North Park Dr. Southfield Officers responded to location to investigate Domestic Assault. Officers arrived on scene and interviewed both combatants. Officers observed large amounts of blood on the floor of the apartment and the male half had a laceration above the left eye that was actively bleeding upon their arrival. Investigation revealed that the other male half hit victim in the face with a vase. He was arrested for F/A. A Southfield Police Evidence Technician processed the scene and took photos of victim s injuries.

Larceny of Parcel Package Suspect/ Suspect Vehicle Information: Location: 30000 Block of Northgate Dr. Victim states on 04/04/2018 a package was delivered to the front porch of her home. Victims surveillance cameras shows a suspect steal the package from her porch at approx. 12:31pm. The suspect entered a Black SUV, possibly an Older Ford Escape, driven by a second unknown suspect. Suspect Description: - B/M - Approximately 6'-0 - Medium build - Goatee and mustache - Wearing a black skull cap - Light grey crew neck sweatshirt with unknown writing on front - White t-shirt under sweatshirt - Light grey sweatpants Domestic Assault/ Possession of Firearm While Intoxicated/ Resisting P.O. - 1- Arrest 04/07/2018 9:52pm 21000 Block of Sherman Ave. Southfield Officers were dispatched to the 21000 Block of Sherman on the report of a Domestic Assault in progress. Officers arrived on scene and met with female victim who was sitting in her vehicle in the driveway. Victim states while driving home from a wedding reception male half struck her in the right cheek area causing her some minor swelling that was observed by Officers. As Officers were speaking to victim there was a lot of arguing coming from inside the house. The suspect came out of the house and had a handgun holstered to his side. He was animated, appeared intoxicated, and failed to follow commands to go back into the house. Several family members came out and pulled subject back into the house. Minutes later subject came back out of the house. The gun was no longer exposed and he was ordered by Officers to pull up his shirt so they could make sure he was not armed. As Officers checked his waistband and began to pat him down he resisted Officers, pulled away from Officers and went to confront other arriving family members. The subject was taken into custody for Domestic Assault, Resisting/Obstructing, and Intoxicated While in Possession of a Firearm. The gun was located and taken as evidence.

Larceny from Vehicles This Past Week: 3- LFA s within the same area and time. It s believed that the incidents all occurred around 11:46pm. Surveillance cameras at residence in the 22000 Block of Ivanhoe showed the following: On the video, a smaller black SUV (unknown make/plate) stops in front of R/P s house. A B/M wearing a gray hoodie runs from the SUV into R/P s driveway, where there are four vehicles parked, and squats down low between the vehicles. The B/M suspect shines a cellphone light into the Grand Cherokee and pulls on the passenger door handle which is locked. The B/M then runs back to the SUV which drives off s/b on Ivanhoe. 1) 22000 Block of Ivanhoe 2) 22000 Block of Ivanhoe Ln. 3) 22000 Block of Twyckingham

4-LFA s at the same location: 27000 Block of Northwestern Service Dr. (Hotel) All of the incidents occurred overnight between 04/05/2018 @ 4:00pm - 04/06/2018 @ 8:00am. 4- Vehicles had their windows broken out, vehicles were gone through and items were taken. 1)2018 Ford F-150- Window broken out. Vehicle ransacked. 2)2017 Dodge Durango- Window broken out. Vehicle ransacked. 3)2016 Dodge Ram- Window broken out. Briefcase with contents taken. 4)2018 Chrysler 300- Window broken out. In-Dash Stereo/ Navigation System was taken.
