Register prior to April 30 th and only pay $10 deposits for summer camp! WE VALUE YOUR TIME! The following documents must accompany registration forms: Current Immunization Record or Vaccination Exemption form Birth Certificate (Campers 5 and under) Health Statement (Preschool Campers ONLY) PAYMENT OPTIONS Please select from the following options to best fit your needs. Camp payments are due in full by the Wednesday prior to the week of camp. After Wednesday, the price of camp will increase by $10. Camp Deposits All registrants must put down a weekly deposit to reserve their spot for camp! Early Bird: Reserve your spot for camp with a $10 deposit prior to April 30 th! Specialty or after April 30 th : Reserve your spot for camp with a $25 deposit. Payment For Camp Pay Online: Visit lasvegasymca.org/camp to make a payment online. Auto-Draft: Secure your child s spot in camp with a deposit and take advantage of this convenient payment option. Auto draft will charge your bank or credit card each Wednesday prior to camp. Weekly Payment: Secure your child s spot with a deposit and come into the YMCA to pay the remaining of the balance the Wednesday prior to camp. Pay In Full: Avoid late fees and skip the lines by paying in full for camp!

Each day, hundreds of campers all across Southern Nevada are served a FREE, nutritious cold lunch through the Summer Food Service Program. This healthy option saves busy parents time and money! Your camper is not obligated to eat this cold lunch; they can always place it on our sharing table for other campers to enjoy. In accordance with Federal Law and US Department of Agriculture Policy, this institution is prohibited from discriminating on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability. TENNIS CAMP OFFERINGS! TENNIS HALF DAY CAMPS, AGES 5-15 YMCA of Southern Nevada, Bill & Lillie Heinrich YMCA offers half day tennis camp as well as half day traditional summer camp to those who participate in the tennis camp. Ages 5-15 Member $125/week Non-Member $145/week Ages 5-15 Member $40/daily drop-in Non-Member $60/daily drop in *Weekly Camp fees increase by $10 after the Wednesday prior to the start of the camp. WEEK 1: JUNE 8-12 Emphasis will be on how to keep score and knowing all parts of the tennis court from Doubles Ally, Service Box, Baseline and much more. WEEK 2: JUNE 15-19 Heavy focus on different kinds of groundstrokes such as topspin, slice, loopy, flat for different situations. WEEK 3: JUNE 22-26 Heavy focus on learning to play at the net. Volleys, Overheads, Half Volleys. WEEK 4: JUNE 29-JULY 3 Heavy focus on serving, learning the grips, different spins and how to do a proper toss. WEEK 5: JULY 6-10 Strategies for playing singles. Where to stand, where to hit, how to recover into the proper position. WEEK 6: JULY 13-17 Strategies for playing doubles. Where to stand, how to work with a partner, formations and more. WEEK 7: JULY 20-24 Work on winning shot combinations such as an approach shot and then a volley or serve and run around the backhand to hit the forehand. WEEK 8: JULY 27-31 Understanding what difference styles of play mean and knowing which style is best for your child. WEEK 9: AUGUST 3-7 Over head work. One of the thoughest shots in the game and the importance of mastering it. WEEK 10: AUGUST 10-14 Heavy emphasis on the return of serve. Stance, where to stand and shot selection. WEEK 11: AUGUST 17-21 End of the Summer Tournament. Kids will learn how a tournament works from entering a tournament to how they YMCA progress of Southern through Nevada the Summer draw. RESIDENTIAL CAMP CAMP WHITTLE BIG BEAR, CALIFORNIA JUNE 13 JUNE 20 Ages: 8-14 Fee: $599 Kids today need the traditional camp experience more than ever. Every day brings something new, exciting and challenging: the power of a positive mentor, the confidence that comes from trying then succeeding, and healthy, long lasting friendships. Located four hours from Las Vegas and just two miles from Big Bear Lake in California, campers enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the forest, lake and meadow as they participate in activities and adventure galore! For the past eight summers, the YMCA of Southern Nevada has had the opportunity and responsibility to provide a unique outdoor camp experience for Las Vegas youth. During this exciting week, individual goals are achieved, confidence is built, and lifelong friendships are developed. GROW IN THE FOUR YMCA CORE VALUES OF CARING, HONESTY, RESPECT, RESPONSIBILITY. Campers will be faced with challenges throughout the week that give them the opportunity to display values that are the heartbeat of our organization. GROW IN THE ABILITY TO MAKE SOUND, INDEPENDENT DECISIONS. For many campers, this will be their first time away from home. During the week stay at Camp Whittle, participants will be challenged to make the best decisions about their schedule, their daily responsibilities and nutrition. CREATE LIFELONG FRIENDSHIPS. Camp Whittle presents a wonderful opportunity to create new friendships that can last a lifetime. Camp staff are intentional in initiating friendship building activities throughout the week. *DENOTES MEMBER PRICE GAIN AN APPRECIATION FOR NATURE AND THE GREAT OUTDOORS. At Camp Whittle, campers will live surrounded by the great outdoors for an entire week. During this time, campers will participate in activities such as: nature walks, hiking, bike riding, horseback riding, high ropes, zip line, s mores and more SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES Thanks to generous donors and the Sun Summer Camp Fund, we re able to award financial assistance to allow more youth the opportunity to reach their full potential through the Y s residence camp experience at Camp Whittle. Please request a scholarship application by visiting the welcome desk at the Y nearest you. All campers will pay a $50 enrollment fee plus copayment determined by scholarship. PAYMENT OPTIONS PAY IN FULL: Pay entire camp balance at time of registration. AUTO-DRAFT: Our most convenient option for regular payments! Pay a $50 enrollment fee, then schedule remaining payments due each Friday with the full balance due by May 18 th ALL BALANCES MUST BE PAID IN FULL BY MAY 18, 2015.
