ITINERARY THURSDAY 4 TH FEBRUARY 7am leave Beverley High School (on Bus King coach) 10am approx. Arrive Birmingham Airport. 10.25hrs. Check in opens at Birmingham Airport 12.25hrs Icelandair flight FI495 flight departs for Keflavik Airport 15.10hrs Icelandair flight FI arrives at Keflavik Airport, group to collect luggage 16.00hrs Load luggage. Coach departs for the Blue Lagoon 16.40hrs Coach arrives at the Blue Lagoon (for 17.00hrs session TBC)
THE BLUE LAGOON This amazing lagoon is a unique, mineral-rich lake, formed from Geothermal sea water. Five to six million tonnes of fluid, containing two thousand tonnes of Silica are released into the lagoon each year. The Blue-green algae and white Silica mud give the lagoon its milky, aquamarine colour and provide a natural source of minerals, which are renowned for their therapeutic properties. The lagoon has an average temperature of 37 C.
THURSDAY 4 TH FEBRUARY 19.00hrs Coach departs at the Hotel Cabin 19.45hrs Coach arrives at the Hotel Cabin 20.00hrs Evening meal at the Hotel, then briefing for the next day. Get to rooms and settle in. Evening in hotel.

SATURDAY 6 TH FEBRUARY
Another chance to see the Northern Lights if previous night unsuccessful
SUNDAY 7 TH FEBRUARY
Midnight approx. arrive at Beverley High School Girls do not need to come in to school until 10:30 on Monday 8 th February.

LUGGAGE We are flying with IcelandAir Luggage Allowance: 23kg per person checked luggage + one piece of hand luggage, 5kg max. Passports and money to be kept in hand luggage. Baggage labels for outward journey only completed and attached. No liquids, or sharp items in hand luggage.
PASSPORTS & EHIC Final reminder the girls need their own passport. Passports must be in hand luggage. They will be retained and kept in the hotel safe and distributed on the return journey back to Britain. EHIC - Iceland has a reciprocal arrangement with the UK so these will be needed in case of any medical treatment.
FOOD FOR THE JOURNEY A packed lunch Plenty of snacks! A water bottle
THE COACH TO THE AIRPORT BUS KING The coach will be fitted with seatbelts. Staff will ensure that they are worn at all times. Please stress to your daughter the importance of this safety issue.
SPENDING MONEY Recommend no more than 10,000 ISK (about 50) for drinks, souvenirs, snacks and lunch on the Sunday. All trip money is the responsibility of the student on the trip. Purses & wallets should contain student name and hotel name in case lost.
IN THE HOTEL Good behaviour at all times. There will be other guests on holiday in the hotel All breakages and damage needs to be reported at once to a member of staff. Always leave your hotel key at reception.
CLOTHING
WHAT TO BRING? A warm coat Waterproof (if above one is not) Trip Hoody Woolly hat, scarf, gloves Sturdy, warm boots suitable for snow (walking boots ideal) Casual evening clothes but not lots Trainers or other comfortable shoes Layers of clothing, t-shirts, jumpers, leggings etc. Enough for just in case you get wet Thermals if you have them but layers are fine Nightclothes. Underwear, socks (lots of socks!). Swimwear and towel (put in hand luggage!) Toiletries Sunglasses Camera / phone Any Medication (ensure you have told Mrs Caley about this in writing) Small rucksack essential Pens/pencils Clipboard / hard back notebook Carrier bags for dirty washing
BEHAVIOUR Beverley High School has an excellent reputation abroad. Must be excellent all week and at all times. No one is allowed to drink under the age of 18 by law. No one is allowed to smoke. Parents and Pupils will be asked to read carefully and sign a contract to which they must adhere to.
EXTRAS A travel plug Get together with friends people you might share with to avoid bringing unnecessary items e.g. hairdryers the hotel rooms all have them. Do not bring anything valuable, jewellery, ipads etc if you do so it is at your own risk.
SOME FINAL REMINDERS Students will have ID cards keep them on you! Rooming Insurance details - please collect a copy. We use the standard Rayburn Schools insurance, through Endsleigh. Questions?
