(BC) Theft of Lost or Mislaid Property Date: Dec 05, 2016-Monday at 11:15 Incident ID: 16-12-05-030754 16-00297 BCMC Entrance H Subject reported that his bicycle was stolen while parked on campus on an unknown date from Entrance "B", Main Complex. Subject stated on 12/5/2016 he saw his stolen bicycle moved to the bicycle rack at Entrance "H", Main Complex. Officers informed subject to bring proper documentation to show that the bicycle belongs to him. At the time the report was filed, the bicycle was not secured with a lock. The bicycle was taken by Public Safety and logged into evidence until owner returns with proof of ownership, at which time the bicycle will be returned to the rightful owner. An anonymous person called to report that a non-student, family member was robbed of personal property while doing a sale of a cell phone on campus. The alleged robbery occurred on November 30, 2016. Security Alerts were posted around campus informing staff, students and visitors of the incident. During the course of an investigation it was determined a Theft had occurred not a Robbery. Disposition: Under Investigation/Attempt to Identify Suspect(s). (BC) Forgery Date: Dec 06, 2016-Tuesday at 16:48 Incident ID: 16-12-06-030906 16-00307 Belleville Campus Public Safety was notified on 12/05/2016 by the Business Office of three fraudulent checks that were presented to Regions Bank to be cashed against the SWIC Payroll Account. All three checks are not authentic and were Forged checks for various amounts. Two of the three checks were returned as Fraud and the third check was declined at Regions Bank. Two more fraudulent checks were cashed against the SWIC Payroll account, one on 12/8/2016 and one on 12/9/2016. At this time, the report is being investigated to determine identify of suspect or suspects. Disposition: Under Investigation. (BC) Criminal Defacement of Property Date: Dec 07, 2016-Wednesday at 07:32 Incident ID: 16-12-07-030956 16-00304 Main Complex Building Officer reported writing on a bathroom stall in Phase 1 Lower, Main Complex. Men's Restroom. Officer obtained photos and Physical Plant was contacted to remove writing. Disposition: Cleared. (BC) Criminal Trespass to State Supported Property
Date: Dec 07, 2016-Wednesday at 15:36 Incident ID: 16-12-07-031008 BC Information Sciences Bldg Officers made contact with a student who trespassing on campus in the Information Sciences Building, First Floor Lobby area after being advised not to return on campus from earlier today. The student was arrested and escorted to the Public Safety Office. The student was issued Non-Traffic Citations for Disorderly Conduct, Criminal Damage and Trespass to State Supported Property. Student was transported to the St. Clair County Jail. Disposition: Cleared by Arrest/Non-Traffic Citations Issued/Transported to St. Clair County Jail/Referred to Student Discipline. (BC) Burglary from Motor Vehicle Date: Dec 08, 2016-Thursday at 11:31 Incident ID: 16-12-08-031095 16-00308 BC Parking Lot M4 Student reported items were stolen out of their purse, when a subject turned the purse into Public Safety. Officer spoke to student in Room 1180, Main Complex. It was determined the purse was removed from an unlocked vehicle parked in Parking Lot M4. Disposition: Under Investigation. (BC) Harassment Date: Dec 12, 2016-Monday at 12:57 Incident ID: 16-12-12-031367 BC Parking Lot M1 Parent of a student reported that their daughter was being harassed on campus at her vehicle in Parking Lot M-1. Officers checked all campus parking lots and was unable to locate the subject on campus. Disposition: Cleared/Unable to Locate. (BC)
Theft Over $300 Date: Dec 12, 2016-Monday at 14:17 Incident ID: 16-12-12-031378 16-00311 BCMC Cyber Lounge (Room 1320) Student reported their cell phone was possibly stolen from the Cyber Lounge, Room 1320, Main Complex. Officer spoke to the subject and will be reviewing camera footage. Upon review of camera footage, the student is seen leaving the Cyber Lounge with possession of their cell phone. Disposition: Cleared/Unfounded. (BC) Retail Theft Date: Dec 15, 2016-Thursday at 12:42 Incident ID: 16-12-15-031692 BCMC Cafe Seating Area (Room 1300) Aramark employee contacted Public Safety reporting a Retail Theft involving two suspects departing the Cafeteria, Main Complex, First Floor, Room 1300, at approximately 1235 hours, without paying for an item. Officers checked areas on campus and were unable to locate the suspects. Officer will be reviewing camera footage. Suspect returned to campus and paid for item. Disposition: Cleared. (BC) Theft of Lost or Mislaid Property Date: Dec 15, 2016-Thursday at 15:16 Incident ID: 16-12-15-031713 Classroom 311 Employee reported her wedding rings missing and inquired if they had been turned in to lost and found. Employee believes she placed her rings on her desk yesterday, 12/14/16, in Room 311. It was determined that no rings were turned in to Public Safety. Disposition: Report to Follow. (SWGCC)
