Urban Pumper BA and Foam Two firefighters in breathing apparatus are to extinguish a fire using one length of 38mm hose with hydrant water supplied through the appliance by the other team members (utilising foam eductor to simulate foam-making drill) Pump Operation, Hydrants, Hose Handling, Branches, Foam making and SCBA. Competitors are marked and timed on their ability to correctly perform all the abovementioned tasks. Hoses used 1 x 70mm (10m filler hose) and 1 x 38mm (30m) The appliance will be stowed with one length of 38mm hose flaked, one shut-off branch (with aeration tube attached), one 10m length of 70mm filler hose rolled on the bight, one breeching piece and one standpipe, one 38mm foam eductor and one foam concentrate siphon hose. All with stortz couplings. 2 x SCBA air sets and the BA control board will also be used. After that, one 38mm hose line is used with water from a hydrant which then needs to be lengthened to two lengths to go deeper into the fire.
