The approval o the annexation o the developer's uninished units into 690 Market Homeowners Association will add 14 whole ownership units to the association. Once these homes are properly registered with the city, which may take up to 60 days, the developer will begin renovations. In addition, the developer is working on our other projects: adding our additional parking spaces in the garage at the ar end o the lower level; moving our employee dining room rom the ith to the sixth loor and moving our accounting oices rom the sixth to the ith loor (as a result o the ith loor becoming whole ownership); inishing the second loor conerence room; and enhancing the garage valet drop o area. Needless to say, you will notice an increase in activity in the garage, but we will make every eort to minimize any inconvenience. escape or all Members. We will continue to hold our evening Social Hours and Friday Wine Tastings as well as special events like Movie Night or children and our quarterly Wow Wednesdays throughout the summer. Sae and Secure The Engineering and Loss Prevention Teams are continuously striving to make 690 Market Street the saest building in San Francisco. Every year we have our ire department inspection that insures we are aligned with all city, county and state National Fire Protection guidelines. This is conducted by a local San Francisco inspector who spends the greater part o a day touring our building and reviewing paperwork to make sure that we are in compliance. Dennis Hunt, our Facilities Manager, is currently designated the High Rise Saety Director, as required by the city. The Club also passed the Marriot Lie Saety inspection. BOARD OF DIRECTORS Nathan Guikema President Doug Webber Vice President Brad Bradord Secretary/Treasurer Bill Whelihan Director Through the leadership o James Boyce o Engineering and Nick Gill, our Loss Prevention Supervisor, we conduct weekly saety meetings so that in the event o a ire, an earthquake or any other threat, we are prepared. Mr. Boyce and Mr. Gill are also responsible or coordinating our quarterly ire drills. These gentlemen have also strategically placed signage that will help us respond to our ire panel in our Fire Control Room and signs that will help our associates and the ire department locate our emergency shuto valves and utility switches. Our Loss Prevention team protects us by conducting daily property rounds via barcode scans. Barcodes are located throughout the building including all 25 loors, the Fitness Center, the Lobby and ire emergency exit stairwells. Loss Prevention ensures all ire extinguishers and sprinkler standpipes are in working condition on a monthly basis, so i there ever was an emergency our teams are ready. Employee Appointments We are pleased to announce the appointment o Jared Anderson to Housekeeping Manager and Coby Calhoun to Loss Prevention Oicer. This month Jared celebrates his ive year anniversary with Marriott. Originally rom northern Virginia, he began his career in Loss Prevention at Crystal City Gateway Marriott in Arlington, Virginia. He helped open Renaissance and Residence Inn Arlington Capital View. In 2012, Jared transerred to San Francisco Marriott Marquis, where he worked as Loss Prevention Lead Oicer. In December o 2013, he became Housekeeping Manager. Jared says he looks orward to learning more about The Ritz-Carlton and hotel management and is very excited or this new opportunity, mentioning that Marriott runs in his amily, as his mom was a sales and marketing director in the Washington, DC area, and his sister works in event management or JW Marriott in DC. He enjoys running and skiing--especially with riends in Tahoe--goling and trying out new restaurants. He has run the Giants hal marathon and is running the San Francisco marathon this month. He also has a passion or travel, having traveled extensively in western and eastern Europe, Honduras, Peru and Bolivia. Jared Anderson and Coby Calhoun Prior to joining us, Coby served as a Loss Prevention oicer at San Ramon Marriott. He is attending school to inish his nursing degree. He has served in the US Army Reserves or six years and is stationed at Moett Field airbase. Coby was born in Berkeley and raised in Richmond and other east bay cities. He currently resides in Livermore. Here at the Residences, Coby most enjoys the personal connections he has ormed with the Residents and Members. He says it is remarkable when a Resident or Member leaves the Ladies and Gentlemen a treat like donuts as a thank you or a long overnight shit, or when riendly olks stop by to ask how our night is going, or when he can greet a Resident who may have a very early morning dog walk. Outside work, Coby enjoys his amily and riends, going to the gym and sports. He loves to barbeque, ish, explore the great outdoors and ride motorcycles. Coby especially loves his mother and daughters, Maya and Malina. Maya runs track and daughter Malina loves everything pink and princess, high tea time and ixing his ouchies.
