Introduction: Global Edventure Travel Ltd (GET), a premier destination management company, which provides Educational ventures for schools worldwide. GET is a UK based company, and partnered with Arabian Overland, registered in Oman, to operate outdoor and adventurous activities. GET are offering the exciting opportunity for schools world-wide to experience our Global Edventure Camps Oman (GECO). We have been operating trips successfully in Oman for the past 6 years. Bookings are now open for 2016/17. We tailor each programme to the needs of a school to ensure our provision provides the ultimate experience for the children. We use the natural environment for all of our camps for children over the age of 8. We see this as a natural progression from activity programmes school groups may have followed in earlier years. Nothing is better than seeing the achievement children gain and fun they have by climbing a real rock face, solving problems and challenges in teams, and gaining further insight into their own capabilities. GECO provide the ultimate in adventurous activity and include activities including but not limited to: climbing & abseiling; cycling; mountain biking; camping; snorkelling; raft building; dolphin watching; kayaking; navigation with compass and GPS; team games; bush craft and survival skills; environmental studies; historical and cultural tours; geography and geology studies; gorge walking &canyoning; hiking and via ferrata, and hold a long-standing relationship with the Duke of Edinburgh International Award. Aim: To provide an educational and life enhancing experience though a variety of progressive outdoor and adventurous activities To provide an experiential learning experience through cultural and social interaction in the country of Oman. To develop a range of personal and team skills through new, different, challenging and rewarding activities. To have fun!

Activities in Oman: Students will participate in a range of activities designed to be fun, challenging and educational. Our staff will organise and lead all activities, although if teachers are willing to be involved and take part they are most welcome to do so. We actively encourage this as it will often inspire those less-confident children to find the courage to try a new experience. Jebel Shams Safety is paramount with all of our trips and activities. All necessary safety equipment is standard with all trips. Children are asked to bring: water bottle, sun hat, sun-screen and appropriate clothing for each activity. A kit list will be provided once the programme has been finalised. Children must wear footwear with straps at all times and/or trainers for all activities. Our Services: All of our activities take place in the real environment. Our locations and activities are specifically designed for the age and ability of all students and always with a focus on safety. Our staff are qualified and experienced outdoor instructors in the specialist activities we provide. Our staff are British/International Instructors with experience in working with children. We are also supported on the ground by our Omani team who are experienced guides in the local environment. All staff members are police checked before working with GET. All activities are Risk Assessed and a copy of our document is available to the school to support their own risk assessment. All members of staff are first aid trained or have higher medical training for adventure activities. Several of our staff are also qualified to work with children/adults on the water. Our in-country partner is Arabian Overland, a local company owned and managed by the owner of Global Edventure Travel Ltd. companies are covered with Public Indemnity Insurance to operate and provide those activities outlined in our programmes.
