DIRECTIONS AND LOCATION The Mulehoe Ranch i located approximately ix mile wet of Wheatland, Wyoming. It i eaily acceible year-round. To reach the ranch headquarter from I-25, take exit 78; turn onto Wet Maripoa Parkway and travel wet for approximately 0.9 mile; turn left onto Ferguon Road/WY- 312 and travel approximately 0.1 mile; turn right at the firt cro treet onto Palmer Canyon Road traveling wet for approximately 5.2 mile. RANCH OPERATIONS AND IMPROVEMENTS The Mulehoe Ranch currently operate a yearling heifer operation and run 250 yearling heifer on the ranch for five month each year. The high protein, hard gra pecie that are found on the ranch typically yield weight gain of 1.8 to 2 pound per day on yearling cattle. There are 175± irrigated acre currently planted to malt barley that are irrigated by two low-preure Zimmatic center pivot. The 2003, 10-tower pivot cover 110± acre while the 2009, 6-tower pivot irrigate 65± acre. All water to both pivot i pumped from the Mulehoe Ditch. The 2014 electric cot to operate the 10-tower pivot wa approximately $3,010. The average yearly uage of dieel fuel to operate the 6-tower pivot i approximately 1,000 gallon. There i a 2,000-gallon fuel tank located next to thi pivot which the owner fill every other year. The crop produced on the irrigated farmland are harveted on a crop-hare arrangement. The owner receive 1/3 of the crop harveted a well a retaining any reidual feed which i then available for winter forage. With upplemental feeding during the winter month, thi ranch would work well a cow/calf operation. The ranch i cro-fenced into three large pature of range land, four meadow pature, and three hore pature. Thi allow for flexible management and efficient grazing rotation.
