Regardless of where you are staying in Las Vegas, you'll want to have a game plan for getting to the Las Vegas Convention Center/SEMA Show. With nearly 160,000 industry professionals in town for the annual event, it's important to allow plenty of time for getting to the convention center so you don't miss a single minute. Here's a list of different options to consider for getting to and from the facility: Travel & Lodging All the information you need to make your travel arrangements can be found by visiting Individual Hotel Reservations Badge Pick up We do not mail the badges for your group in advance, they will be available for pick up in the following locations: SEMA Show Student Program Badge Pick up Monday, October 29 th 8:00 a.m. 10:30 a.m. Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino, Ballrooms D&E Secondary Badge Pick up Tuesday, October 30 th Friday, November 2 nd 9:00 AM 4:00 PM SEMA Career Center, Upper North Hall, Outside of Member s Lounge North Complimentary Hotel Shuttle Service Available each morning and afternoon of the Show, a complimentary shuttle service runs every 20 minutes from select partner hotels. This service is an easy, affordable alternative to taking a taxi or the Monorail, and offers three convenient stops throughout the convention center. Monorail The Las Vegas Monorail stops right in front of the LVCC and operates during the SEMA Show, Tuesday Friday from 7am 2am. Trains arrive every 7 minutes and stop at 8 locations along the strip. Taxis With two taxi pick up and drop off locations at the SEMA Show, taking a taxi cab is a convenient option. Ideal for those looking for a direct ride from or to a specific location, taxis can be accessed at the East end of the Performance Pavilion, or in the Blue Lot on the East end of the Grand Lobby, adjacent to Central Hall. Uber/Lyft Designated drop off/pick up locations will be available for Showgoers using Uber or Lyft to get to and from the LVCC. Strip & Downtown Express (SDX) If you're staying in Downtown Las Vegas or along the Strip, the public bus service is a viable option. The SDX runs daily from 9am 12:30 am and includes 18 different stops. Visit www.rtcsnv.com for details. Walking If you're staying at a hotel property that is in close proximity to the LVCC, you can save time and money by walking to the SEMA Show. Visit www.semashow.com/travel and lodging for details on the nearly dozen hotels that make walking a great option. Driving Limited parking is available for a nominal fee in the Green and Gold Lot for those driving their own vehicles to the SEMA Show. Since SEMA Ignited is taking place in the Gold Lot on Friday, parking will only be available in the Green Lot on that day.
Airport Shuttle Affordable shuttle service to McCarran International Airport will be available Thurs., 7am 6:30pm and Fri. 7am 5pm. Airport shuttles pick up at North Hall Door 10 and the East end of the Performance Pavilion. One way trip cost is $10/pp, cash only. Once you arrive at the SEMA Show, it's time to hit the floor. For most, that means walking! While you may not be able to avoid spending time on your feet, there are strategies and tips that may make it a bit easier. SEMA Show Mobile App The SEMA Show mobile app offers directions from one location to another, making it quick and easy to find an exhibitor's booth. It also includes features such as exhibitor lists, seminar schedules and more. Printed Map This oversized, single sheet of paper shows attendees where they are in relation to key features and attractions at the Show. It also features a detailed floorplan with booth numbers to help them find specific exhibitors. Printed maps are contained inside the 2018 SEMA Show Directory, the SEMA Show Pocket Guide, and at information kiosks throughout the convention center. Show Directory Found in the November issue of SEMA News, the 420 page 2018 SEMA Show Directory is filled with Show related features and listings, making it a great resource to help prepare for the upcoming Show as well as to reference afterwards. SEMA Show Pocket Guide Available at information kiosks throughout the convention center, the pocket guide is a handy tool to carry around during the Show. Use it to quickly look up exhibitors, obtain details about hotel shuttles, special events, seminars, and more.
Online Floorplan The online floorplan give detailed information to help prepare for the SEMA Show. Because it is online, there are interactive tools that you can click on to make searching quick and easy. Whether it's your first time attending the SEMA Show or you're a seasoned veteran, there are a number of tips and tricks to help make your time more successful. With four busy days doing business in Las Vegas, here are recommendations: What to wear The dress code for the SEMA Show is business casual. Your students will be meeting with industry professionals and potential future employers, they should dress to impress. If you are unsure what to wear, a good rule of thumb is a school branded polo shirt with nice jeans or kakis. Wear comfortable shoes, bring multiple pairs and break them in before arriving to the Show. You'll be on your feet most of the day, so make sure you're prepared! Bring Business Cards & Resumes Lots of connections are made during the week, don't forget to bring plenty of business cards and a current copy of your resume!
