Anne Reslock - Kitchen Coordinator The season is nearing an end and I would like to thank everyone who helped out with the various food events this season. Again, without the many volunteers we have here in the park, the events would not take place. This includes those that stepped forward to be monthly block chairpersons and my right hand helpers in the kitchen for all the larger food events. A big Thank-you to you all. Annual GVRV Resort Craft Show The show will be on Saturday, March 23 rd from 11 am to 2:30 pm in the Ballroom. Set up will be at 9 am. This is an opportunity to display and/or sell your hand crafted items, whether you created them as part of one of our classes here at the park or individually. If you wish to display your creations, please contact Craft Coordinator Bev Yoki at 218-220-1138 site #167. Activities Survey Results Thanks to the many persons that submitted the Activities Survey. We had a great response. Besides the ratings, we received over 600 comments and suggestions, all of which were sorted by area and turned over to the Activities Committee member involved. There also were many thanks to all of the volunteers running and supporting the things going on. The statistical results, by area, are as follows using a ranking of 1-10 with 10 being the highest: Arts and Crafts - 9.14 Entertainment - 8.86 Food - 8.67 Indoor Activities - 8.13 Outdoor Activities - 8.45 Newsletter - 8.98 Overall Rating 8.71 Besides these published statistics, all of the comments and suggestions are available for anyone to read. Just go to the following Internet Web Log (blog) at: http://gvrvsurvey.blogspot.com/?view=flipcard Watch for more information on things continued, corrected or offered due to your input but always feel free to talk to any Activities Committee member directly with any additional feedback and ideas. Fashion Show - March 14th The Annual GVRV Resort Fashion Show will be held Thursday, March 14 th at 11:30 am in the Ballroom. Featured this year will be DaZee s. We ve decided to have a different fun venue this year. It will be an English Tea Party with home made scones, sandwiches, dessert and, of course, tea. Cost is $3 at the door. This is our biggest event in support of the food Bank. Questions, contact Anne Reslock 520-975-1342. Inside Activities Coordinator, Judy Tucker New Purchases In response to requests, two of our billiard tables have been recovered. The cost was shared by the Activities Committee and the RV Park. Also all the tables were precisely leveled. We hope that all the folks that use the pool room will enjoy the new tables. The Activities Committee has also purchased a digital projector and large projection screen. It is now being used by three groups; the Camera Club, the Computer Class and the new Genealogy group. The projector will also be used for presentations in the ballroom. The projector cannot leave the club house but if your group needs to use it, contact; Judy Tucker, Pat Williams, Glenn Erdmann or Theresa Daniel. The ping-pong groups have also purchased new paddles, balls, and nets with some of the Activities Committee funds. Mary Anne Weigel Treasurer... Glenn Erdmann Kitchen Coordinator... Don Hampton Arts and Crafts... Bev Yoki Indoor Activities... Judy Tucker Outdoor Activities... Bryan Dugstad Entertainment... Peggi Briggs Publicist... Steve Lampey For all residents with sheds who have been invited and have been unable to attend one of the small meetings with the park manager and the electrician, please arrange to attend any meeting being held on Tues, Wed or Thurs at 1:00 pm in the library at the clubhouse. The final meeting will be held on March 7, 2013. It is important that you know what will be happening with your electricity this summer. We are asking that RVers check their sewer uprights to make certain there are no rocks close to them. We have had rocks drop into and plug up the sewer line. A quick check to remove stones could save a future problem. The office staff would like to remind you that we have many items which have been found around the park. If you've lost jewelry, glasses, etc., please check. We'd love to return them to their owners. We are looking to fill a guard position for the 6:00 pm to 12:00 midnight shift. If you are interested, please contact Sue at (520) 625-3900 or stop in the office. Got Ideas? Did you enjoy the Bar-D-Wranglers western show? Then thank Marna & Ted Kudart. They provided Peggi Briggs with a DVD of one of their shows. If you have seen any entertainer or group that impressed you, tell Peggi. Give her a name, website, CD or DVD.
