Evening Welcome and briefing at hotel Monday 5 November 10:00-11:30 Visit to & discussion with Shenzhen Bao an As a part of the Guangdong province 5+4 backbone airports masterplan, Shenzhen Bao an is building a new satellite T4, to start construction in 2020. Tuesday 6 November 09:00-11:00 Attendance of China Airshow The China Airshow, organized every two years in Zhuhai, is the largest airshow in China. The opening, and B2B part of the airshow starts this day. There are mostly (suppliers of) aircraft manufacturers present, but there are also some airport groups and airlines. Note that there is a Holland pavilion for Dutch attendees in the aerospace sector (e.g. ADSE, Avion Group, NLR, Straaltechniek International, Technobis Fibre Technologies, TenCate Advanced Composites). It is however not the aim to have an airports / atm presence at the pavilion. 11:30-12:30 Lunch 12:30-14:00 Transfer to ehang 14:30-17:00 Visit to & discussion with ehang Evening Dinner and transfer to hotel There is also the possibility of meeting with Zhuhai Airport. Zhuhai Airport is a relatively small airport, but has some upgrades planned before 2019. Zhuhai is also an important frontrunner in general aviation (GA). The first general aviation routes of China were opened here and Aviation City Group of Zhuhai Airport is also constructing GA airports in the region. ehang is a manufacturer of passenger carrying drones. It is planned to be finished before the Asian Games in Hangzhou in 2022. Alibaba is working on an Aviation Brain. With AI technology that is capable of learning basic aviation knowledge, such as aircraft models, take-off and landing schedules, apron locations, proximity between the taxiway and runway, as well as the capacity of various shuttle buses, the Brain is able to process the statistics, churn out the most optimized operating strategy in a short amount of time and improve the passenger experience. Whole day Visit to Pudong International Airport with AVIC CARERI experts AND/OR Sino-Dutch expert meetings Friday 9 November Pudong Int l Airport has announced it is planning to build a T3, to accommodate 30 million passengers per year. AVIC is the largest state-owned aerospace company in China. The Chinese Aeronautical Radio Electronics Research Institute (CARERI) is its institute on avionics and ATM, involved in everything from research to production. It is working on a comprehensive plan to upgrade China s ATM situation. Pudong will be a pilot for this plan. Note that there is a possibility that a high level aerospace dialogue will take place between China and the Netherlands in Shanghai at this time. This can only be confirmed at a late stage. The Netherlands and China have a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on aerospace cooperation, for which both countries facilitate exchange of experts. ATM is a part of this collaboration. If these meetings take place, it is possible to involve high level experts, for example at the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC).
