ACCOMMODATION POSADA DEL AGUA Y FUEGO The Retreat will take place at the Eco Resort Posada del Agua y Fuego, which is located in the Pueblito Selva of Chemuyil, about 120km south of Cancún, 15km from the magical town of Tulum and about 3km from Xcacel Beach, which is reknown as one of the most beautiful beaches of the Riviera Maya. YOGA and QI GONG PRACTICES ACTIVITIES Every morning, before breakfast, we ll start the day with a revitalizing Yoga practice, guided by the Yoga Therapeutic and Yoga Vinyasa instructor, Katia Peepem. Our purpose is to start the day with a practice that purifies our body, mind and that connects us with our spiritual being, through pranayamas, asanas and meditation. Some days, we will also end the day with a Qi Gong practice. The Qi Gong refers to a variety of techniques usually related to traditional Chinese medicine, which includes mind, breathing and physical exercise. It is usually practiced with the purpose of maintaining health, but it can also be prescribed with specific therapeutic purposes. Qi means vital flow of energy and Gong work or technique. Qi Gong, therefore, can be translated as the work of vital energy or the art of circulating vital energy in the most appropriate way to the purpose for what it is practiced. EXCURSIONS archeology Tulum archaeological site: Tulum is the most emblematic archaeological site on the coast of Quintana Roo, due to its privileged location facing the sea and the excellent conservation of its buildings and mural paintings. Originally (16th century) the site was designated as Zamá, which in Maya language means morning or sunrise. It is considered the most emblematic harbour of the Mayan postclassic period, located 3km from Tulum town. Coba archaeological site: The city of Coba (in Mayan language, abundant water ), was developed near five lakes that were a fundamental factor for its development and subsistence and it is considered one of the most impressive archaeological sites of Quintana Roo. With an extension of approximately 70 km2, the city was communicated by extensive paths built out of of stones, known in Mayan language as sacbé (white path). Coba is located 47 km from Tulum town. MUYIL archaeological site: Muyil is located within the Sian Ka an Biosphere Reserve, declared a Natural World Heritage Site by Unesco in 1987. It functioned as an important trading center during the Mayan classical period, connecting Coba with other important cities.

nature Xcacel Beach: Natural Reserve declared as a sanctuary of the sea turtle nesting. Located 20 km north of Tulum, it is a beach of incredible beauty. Its turquoise waters, white sand, reef and open air cenote (underground river) invite the visitor to get in touch with the rhythm of nature and enjoy its beauty. Tulum public beach: Located in front of the second largest reef on the planet, Tulum offers one of the most beautiful and attractive Caribbean beaches of the Riviera Maya. Here you can just relax under the shade of its coconut palms or you can take a boat ride to the reef, where you will swim with colorful fish, sea turtles, stinrays, corals, enjoying an amazing seaview of thetulum archaeological site. Spider Monkey Sanctuary: Natural Reserve located in the Mayan Community of Punta Laguna, 45 minutes from Tulum. It is a beautiful Natural Reserve managed by local people, and it is home to a wide variety of endemic flora and fauna, mainly spider monkeys, howler monkeys, pumas and hundreds of species of birds. Here we can participate in an authentic Mayan ceremony guided by the grandfather of the community, who will ask permission to enter the jungle. Next, we will see monkeys in their natural habitat and we will arrive to the lagoon, where we will refresh in its fresh waters. Sian Ka an Natural Reserve: the Sian Ka an Biosphere Reserve was declared as a Natural World Heritage Site by Unesco in 1987. It offers the possibility of appreciating the Mayan archeology and history, and the contact with nature. Here we ll visit the Muyil archaeological site, the beauty of its turquoise waters lagoons and channels, where you ll enjoy a boat ride and will float on the channels within mangroves. Cenote Tac Bi Ha (in Mayan language hidden waters ): located in the Dos Ojos park, the place of the largest underground river network on the planet. Great attraction for lovers of diving and snorkeling in Cenotes, during this visit you will admire one of the most incredible underground aquatic landscapes of the world. Cenote Xunaan Ha (in Mayan language princess of water ): beautiful open air cenote located in the town of Chemuyil. With its crystalline and fresh water, it offers the possibility of refreshing and swimming among fishes and rocky formations, enjoying of a magical place in nature.

cultural Meliponario: The Melipona bee is the Mayan bee (xunan kab) endemic to the Yucatan Peninsula, and unique in its kind, since it has no sting. Its sweet honey has been used since the time of the ancient Mayas as medicine, as well as being the main sweetener of this culture. On our visit to the Mayan Meliponario we will have the opportunity to observe and learn how these beautiful little beings organize their community and build their hives and, of course... we will try their medicinal honey! Mayan Community: In this beautiful community, you can experience the authenticity of the Mayan culture that has survived to this day. Experience and get to know how they live, their culinary art, traditional clothes, indigenous instruments and music, handicrafts, etc. It will be a day in contact with the Mayan tradition and culture. MYSTICAL EXPERIENCES Discover magical experiences that reconnect you with the cosmology and ancestral wisdom of the native communities of America, feeding your spiritual being, through mystical interactive experiences, filling you vitality. Temazcal Live an experience of purification in communion with the elements of Mother Nature through this pre-hispanic ceremonial steam bath. The Temazcal is an ancestral practice of traditional medicine used by different Mesoamerican cultures with the purpose of detoxifying, bringing benefits to the body and mind and as a spiritual practice. The Temazcal is performed using hot volcanic stones, water, aromatic and medicinal plants or essences, musical instruments traditional, and sharing the word and sacred songs. Cocoa ceremony Open your heart and let yourself go in unison with the drum, follow the path to happiness, experience an authentic ceremony where you will taste the cocoa in its original form transporting you to an ancient world. Discover the history and origins of cocoa and how this precious plant became the symbol of universal love.

Sonic Meditation The use of sound is an ancestral practice, which is linked to the release of hormones. The sound in its therapeutic use has the power to affect the physiological parameters, including breathing and the heart rate, blood pressure and neuromuscular tone. In addition, in its ceremonial use, the Sound subtly connects us with the sacred, thus being a tool that transports the being from a physical plane to a spiritual plane. WORKSHOPS Nutrition and traditional food Learn to make nutritious and delicious Mexican dishes. In this workshop theoretical bases will be provided, nutrition tips and a menu with healthy options will be created. It is a great way to address any doubts and to obtain the necessary knowledge for a healthy and balanced diet. Herbalism and recognition of plants Discover the magic of plants while taking a walk through a botanical garden of endemic plants of the region with the aim of learning to recognize and know how to use different types of aromatic, medicinal and culinary plants found in the Mayan territory. Art therapy with plants An introduction to the plastic arts through the practice of drawing, color and composition, integrating different elements of nature, as well as theoretical and formative references to develop a vision of artistic creation in general. It is a form of Psychotherapy that uses the plastic arts as a means to improve mental health and emotional and social well-being. Specifically, focusing on the ability of art as a form of communication, this way it helps expressing and communicating feelings, facilitating reflection and artistic expression.
