Designated Canada s National Airshow in 1970, this annual aviation festival has provided an opportunity to present aviation at its finest to Millions of spectators who have attended over the last 5 DECADES from North America, Europe and around the globe. 2015 will prove another exciting chapter in the history of The Abbotsford Airshow as we present not only the highly-praised Friday Twilight Show but also the FIRST Canadian appearance of the Breitling Jet Team. This French team will bring their 7-Ship Performance to share the stage with our very own 9-Ship Canadian Forces Snowbirds Demonstration Team! The Snowbirds are celebrating 45 Years, and we are proud to say that they have flown every Abbotsford Airshow since their inception. The Abbotsford International Airshow has many collaborative marketing and onsite branding opportunities for companies to participate. A Brief Timeline 1962: First Abbotsford Airshow 1967: Named the Official Centennial Airshow, Established as the largest airshow in Canada 1970: The Prime Minister gives Abbotsford the title Canada s National Airshow 1971: The CAF Snowbirds debut at Abbotsford and haven t missed a show since! 1974: King Hussein of Jordan visits and establishes the Royal Jordanian Falcons 1978: The USSR, the USA and Great Britain contribute aircraft to the static display setting the international precedent 1983: The CF-101 Voodoos retire as the CF-18 Hornet gives its first flying demo. 1986: Showcases Aviation Week during Expo 86 ; crowds are so large that people are turned away! Abbotsford hosts 5 international military demo teams- France, Italy, Brazil, USA and Canada The Concorde, RAF Nimrod, USSR An-74 and US SR-71 Blackbird support the international initiative and allow the public access to formerly top secret aircraft 1989: Soviet Aircraft AN-225, MiG-29s and Ka-32 participate for the first time in North America 2007: Canada receives delivery of the first CC-177 from Boeing at the Abbotsford Airshow 2012: 50 th Anniversary Abbotsford Airshow 2014: First Twilight Show at Abbotsford 2015: First Canadian Performance of the French BREITLING JET TEAM

Ground Exhibits & Displays Display Space Displaying at the Abbotsford Airshow is a great way to reach your target demographic audience in an exciting festival environment. Our display area is centrally located along the roadway between the East and West spectator areas. Our patrons travel along this roadway to reach both the Autograph Booth at the South End and the aviation displays at the North End. All of our display spaces are HIGH TRAFFIC and HIGH VISIBILITY. In addition to display space, PA Announcements can direct patrons to your location onsite.
