DEAR FRIENDS & NEIGHBORS, Thank you for your help in bringing Christmas at the Princess to life over the past nine years. In 2010, we launched this community festival with nothing more than a four-story animated musical tree in the plaza and nine years later we are proud to feature over four million holiday lights, an ice-skating rink made with real ice, train rides, carousel, Ferris wheel, ice slides, magical holiday characters, photos with Santa, and so much more! Our goal was to create a place for families and neighbors to gather and make holiday memories, much like an old-fashioned town center. Now, more than 250,000 people visit the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess over the holidays each year and your support and encouragement have made that possible. There is perhaps no time of year when people are more aligned in heart, mind, and spirit than during the Christmas season and as the new year approaches, we d like to take a moment to show our gratitude for the abundance of blessings we are able to enjoy. We know many others are not as fortunate and are reminded how difficult the holidays can be. Please join us as we embrace this season of giving with an open heart by acting with compassion and kindness to help those who need it most. With more than 14,000 children in the Arizona foster care system and many of them seeking forever homes, we are asking for your help in sharing our blessings with them this holiday season. We ve partnered with Cox Charities to provide a magical Christmas experience for the foster children in the valley and hope you can join us as well as JohnJay and Rich of the #LoveUp Foundation in supporting our efforts here at the Princess by booking our #LoveUp room package or by purchasing skating passes at the Desert Ice Skating Rink throughout the duration of Christmas at the Princess. A portion of the proceeds from each will be donated directly to the #LoveUp Foundation. ENCHANTED PLAZA SHOWS On the hour, Every Hour 6pm to 9pm Don t miss this five-minute long, highdefinition, video show featuring animations projected against the resort s facade. The resort s Christmas tree has 70,000 LED lights that twinkle and dance to 17 classic holiday songs in the Enchanted Plaza. HOLIDAY LAGOON LIGHTS 5pm to 10pm With the addition of 1.5 million LED s this season, the resort shines with more than 4.5 million lights! As you stroll through the resort s majestic lagoons you ll see glittery swans floating on the water, a buccaneer pirate ship, mermaid, 14-foot poinsettias, teddy bear, toy soldiers, fishing Santa, leaping arches, Nessie the 30-foot Loch Ness Monster, menorah, dreidels, 3D whale, skating penguins, candy cane forest and more. NATIVITY GARDEN 5pm to 9pm The resort s Fragrance Garden becomes the Nativity Garden, where an 88-foot narrated light and music show tells the story of Christmas. Seating is provided for the 10-minute program. PRINCESS EXPRESS TRAIN 5pm to 9pm *RIDE & ATTRACTION wristband required All aboard! Hitch a ride on one of two trains at the Princess Express Train Depot where your Christmas Conductor will take you on a journey around the resort s glittery Lagoon Lights. Here, you ll travel through a 17-foot long infinity tunnel with ever-changing colors from special RGB LED bulbs, capable of 256 million magical color combinations. SANTA S SECRET HEADQUARTERS SANTA S COMING TO TOWN Join Santa in his magical secret headquarters where the young and young-at-heart can have photos taken with Kris Kringle himself while meeting a few of his favorite friends as you wait. Santa spends his time in his new Secret Headquarters mapping his flight plans, time zones and making toys. Guest of all ages are welcome to visit his personal mailroom to write and mail your wish lists.
