Art Architecture Culture Cuisine History Inspiring Moments A World Apart The story of travel involves more than a ticket and a passport. It should weave together discovery, education and humanity, the best elements of any compelling tale. Your personal travel story begins with our commitment to delivering authentic experiences with local people. The incomparable value of your journey lies in the personalized care you receive from your Travel Director and the knowledge you gain from expert guides and lecturers who call this area home. By eliminating logistical worries, your multilingual Travel Director allows you to immerse yourself comfortably in your surroundings. This high-caliber professional makes you feel safe and important by creating a convivial, welcoming atmosphere. The other important characters in this story are the guides and lecturers, whose regional expertise shines in their insider perspective and commentary. With these specialists at your side, experience life along the Elbe s quaint riverbanks within the Czech Republic and Saxony, adding an exciting, memorable chapter to the rich story of your life. Above: Elbe Sandstone Mountains, Saxon Alps Cover photo: Königstein Fortress > Admire the Elbe s ever-changing, captivating scenery as you savor the peaceful, unhurried pace. > Delight in Prague s old-world grandeur while meandering across the Charles Bridge. > Take in stunning views of dynamic Berlin during a Spree River boat ride. > Marvel at the rebirth of Dresden s beloved Church of Our Lady, rebuilt from rubble. > Travel in the footsteps of Martin Luther, whose religious ideas triggered far-reaching reformation. > Watch a master artisan at work, crafting delicate Meissen porcelain.

Dear Texas Ex, Please join a Flying Longhorns group as we wend our way through enchanting scenery and centuries of history on this unique river cruise aboard a state-of-the-art paddleboat cruiser. Arrive right in the heart of cities within the Czech Republic and Germany, while relishing the quieter, less crowded intimacy of the Elbe River during eight relaxing nights onboard the MS Elbe Princesse. This remarkable river journey is bookended by overnight hotel stays in two of Europe s sparkling gems, Prague and Berlin. In each capital city, enjoy fascinating guided excursions that showcase its renowned landmarks and special beauty. While gliding along the Elbe, delight in the breathtaking views around every bend, from the picturesque Saxon Alps region to the many charming towns and vineyards nestled on the river s banks. Plus, select from a choice of excursions in the ports of Dresden, Meissen and Wittenberg. This thoughtfully planned trip offers the camaraderie of group travel, free time to explore independently and insightful lectures that add meaningful context to your daily experiences. Every traveler's participation in the Texas Exes Flying Longhorns travel program helps to further the Association's core purpose: to become indispensable to the UT family, connecting and engaging supporters with each other and UT. We do so through a wide array of programs among which are scholarships to deserving UT students; student leadership development; career resources; worldwide networking; and legislative advocacy on UT's behalf. When you combine all this with the ability to continue lifelong learning amid the pleasurable company of fellow Texas Exes, you have the ingredients for a very special experience abroad. Space is limited, so your early reservation is essential. Please contact Ms. Janice Garcia at 512/840-5626, 800/594-3900 or janice@texasexes.org with questions or to make a reservation. Or you may fax the reservation form to her at 512/672-6134.
