TASTE OF ARLINGTON Overview Arlington s premier food festival is now in its 29 th year and features nearly 50 restaurants, over 30 craft brews and local cover bands. It is held on the third Sunday in May on Wilson Boulevard in Ballston from noon to 6pm. Proceeds of Taste of Arlington benefit the Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC). 2

BALLSTON BID The Ballston Business Improvement District s own nonprofit, Ballston Gives, manages and produces Taste of Arlington. The Ballston BID is focused on creative innovative and dynamic opportunities for learning, networking and collaborating that leverage the unique combination of research, education, non-profit and corporate organizations in Ballston. 5
BALLSTON GIVES & AFAC RAISING AWARENESS AND FUNDS FOR THE ARLINGTON FOOD ASSISTANCE CENTER AFAC VOLUNTEERS AFAC recruits volunteers from its database and the community Over 300 volunteers sign up Through Ballston Gives, the Ballston BID donates $50 for each volunteer resulting in over $25,000 to AFAC since the inception of this partnership. 6
