JACK LASSETER The Archeology of Arizona Tuesday, May 7th 7:00 PM Have you ever wondered why there seems to be so many more archeological sites here in the Southwest than in other parts of the country? It s the dry climate. Wherever you travel in Arizona you see archeological sites. This talk tells us about the early Paleo-Indians as well as the later six major pre-historic peoples who lived in Arizona, where and how they lived, and modern day sites to visit. It is a great addition to our Arizona knowledge, and makes us well aware that we are not the only people to have lived here. PROM NIGHT AT CPAC Thursday, May 16th 5:00PM 8:00PM Tickets: $35 Remember the old days of school dances and the excitement of Prom? Now is your chance to relive those good times with Prom Night at CPAC for all ages young and old. The theme of the evening will be It Had to be You. The event will feature DJ entertainment and live music from local dance band, Big Band Sounds. Food, beverages, photo booth and much more will be provided. Come dance the night away with us! GOD BLESS AMERICA..AGAIN Kip Calahan Young and Dale Young Saturday, May 18th 7:00 PM A musical tribute to our veterans and troops on Armed Forces Day from CPAC favorites Kip Calahan Young and Dale Young. A HERO S SALUTE A Memorial Day Concert by Arts Express Monday, May 27th 3:00 PM A Hero s Salute honors the brave men and women from Southern Arizona who have served, as well as those who made the ultimate sacrifice. The program features the Arts Express Choir and Brass Ensemble and includes uplifting Memorial Day messages.

JACK LASSETER The Oregon Trail Tuesday, June 4th 7:00 PM From Missouri to Oregon, by wagon and on foot some 2000 miles they went. Out across the Great American Prairie that stretched endlessly to the horizon; over, around and through the Rocky Mountains; and then the treacherous Columbia River Gorge lying there in wait for them. Away from family and friends, away from doctors and civilization. Why did they go? Why then? What was it like on the Trail? And who went? Would you have gone? You decide, for this is the story, not the myth, but the true story of the Oregon Trail. THE AMAZING MAGIC OF KUGLIO Larry Kugelman Wednesday, June 12th 7:00 PM Larry Kuglio Kugelman has been doing magic for more than 30 years. Originally from Ohio, he s now performing Stage and Close-Up Magic in Tucson and at venues across the southwest, including the Golden Gate Casino in Las Vegas, the McKinley Grand Hotel, Tubac Golf Resort and Canyon Ranch. Larry is a current member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians and has performed at their annual convention. His debut performance at CPAC will be chock full of audience participation. You won t believe your eyes at what he is about to do! INDEPENDENCE DAY ICE CREAM SOCIAL WITH THE SANTA CRUZ SUMMER WINDS Wednesday, July 3 rd 3:00 PM (Ice Cream Included) Kick off your Independence Day weekend with a celebration of America. You will hear your favorite patriotic songs and movie score music played by the Santa Cruz Summer Winds, comprised of members of the Green Valley Concert Band. JACK LASSETER Women on the Arizona Frontier Tuesday, July 30th 7:00 PM The history of the West is not just the story of men. In this talk Jack tells us the fascinating story of some of the women here on the Arizona frontier. He focuses on three, an Apache woman, a Spanish woman and a New England woman, but there wee others, including Chinese, African-American, Jewish, Mormon, and ranch women; also governors, judges, a bridesmaid of Eleanor Roosevelt, the Captain of the Arizona Navy, a famous painter and architect, and, the last stagecoach robber.

SUSANNE LASSETER AND RON LANCASTER An Evening of Storytelling Thursday, August 1st 7:00 PM A storytelling concert by local professional storytellers Susanne Lasseter and Ron Lancaster. Susanne, wife of CPAC favorite Jack Lasseter, will be telling a variety of multicultural traditional stories as well as personal stories. Ron will give a first person account of several humorous situations he has encountered over his lifetime. For those of you who have enjoyed Jack Lasseter s talks at CPAC over the years, come meet his wife. You haven t seen anything yet! Suitable for all audiences. JACK LASSETER The Chiricahua Apaches, Warrior People of the Southwest Tuesday, August 20th 7:00 PM All that most of us know about the Apaches comes from the western movies, and our knowledge of them seems to end there, with the movies, so for us they remain mysterious, an enigma. Here is their real story, not the movie version. In this new talk on the Apaches, Jack assumes the audience has already heard the basic facts about them from his prior talks. This is the next level, where he brings the Apaches alive and makes them seem real, telling about them as a people, and sharing fascinating stories of their leaders, that makes him feel their presence whenever he walks in their land. You also will feel their presence! It is quintessential Jack, and will make you want to go to the Chiricahuas where Cochise was born, to Apache Pass where he fought, and to his Stronghold in the Dragoons where he died. YOU RE LOOKIN AT COUNTRY Kip Calahan Young and Dale Young Friday, September 6th 7:00 PM Dale shares stories and the history of Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, Tammy Wynette and Dolly Parton. Kip sings their hits and signature songs. Together they guarantee to have you laughing, crying and singing along. The grand finale is a patriotic song/ poem combination that will have the audience on their feet! Kip and Dale s last performance of this show on January 4 sold out within days, so get your tickets early!
