Olympus. Late return available. Wednesday, July 27 th Camp Shalom Picture Day Wear your Camp t-shirt! Camp Shalom latenight program 5:45PM (Camp Shalom parents are invited to bring a picnic dinner out to the Goodman Campus to join their camper(s) for dinner and entertainment) Camp Shalom overnight for 4 th and 5 th graders Camp Shalom Noar-Bogrim overnight Thursday, July 28 th Aleph/Bet Day (K-3) at Camp Shalom, Gimel campers (4-5 graders) have NO CAMP Friday, July 29 th Last day of second session We do our best to serve Kosher snacks at Camp Shalom. This year, the challah that we are serving at Camp on Fridays is not certified Kosher. If you do not want your camper to eat this challah please contact the Camp office. Thank you.

Chugim Choices Each day we offer many different Chugim (activities) campers can choose from. Please read the choices with your camper and help them to think about what they will choose. The choices for this week are: Friendship Bracelets Sandbox & Bubbles Gimp Dance Sports Wolf Pack Swimming Life Camp Shalom Group Notes Harry Potter Theater Games Fishing Group 6 will be doing tie-dye on Friday. Please send any white t-shirts you have by then. Extras are appreciated! Please remember: the Goodman Campus is a pet free & smoke free facility! Food Carts at Camp Shalom Late-night: You asked, we answered! We have reached out to a few local food carts and restaurants and asked them to join us at the Camp Shalom latenight program on Wednesday, July 27 th. Rosati s Pizza will be sold by the slice; we will offer vegetable and cheese options Kona Ice Truck will be selling shaved ice Gigi s Cupcakes will be selling cupcakes Taquitos Marimar will be selling taquitos dzi Little Tibet will be selling authentic Tibetan cuisine **Please note all businesses are accepting CASH only** All of the businesses have agreed to donate a portion of their proceeds to the Camp Shalom Scholarship Fund. So, bring your dinner and buy dessert, or bring dessert and buy your dinner. Or bring both and get a shaved ice as a beverage. No matter what you choose, you can t lose! Thank you to all the individuals, Camp Shalom families, and businesses that donated to the Camp Shalom Scholarship Fund. For the summer of 2016, over $105,000 was awarded to 194 campers so they could attend camp. Camp Shalom continues its tradition of never denying a child a Camp Shalom experience because of financial need. Thank you! Attention Parents: The Goodman Aquatic Center is open to the public daily from 4:30-8:00 P.M. Monday-Friday and 11:00 A.M. - 8:00 P.M. on weekends & holidays during the Camp Shalom season. Pool memberships are available for purchase at the Goodman Aquatic Center or at JewishMadison.org For more information call the Goodman Aquatic Center, 848-1822 x 2 COME SWIM WITH YOUR KIDS!!! Introducing Camp Shalom Bus Baskets an easy way to donate to Camp Shalom! The Camp Shalom buses will have a basket or bag where you can place donations. We are collecting donations each week in the following categories. So set aside your new or gently used donations, your trash is our treasure! Week One: Gardening equipment and accessories; Photography equipment including Cameras, old phones with working cameras, any other photography accessories Week Two: Office supplies including pens, paper, index cards, tape, paper clips, staplers; Camping equipment and accessories including tents, sleeping bag, tarps etc. WeekThree: Sports Equipment: especially tennis and baseball equipment ; Kitchen Equipment- not knives! But we will take working blenders, pots and pans, cookware and bakeware, mixing bowls, plastic utensils, dish soap, sponges and dish towels Thank you to the following businesses who have donated to the Camp Shalom Healthy Snack program, the Camp Shalom Garden and the Camp Shalom Raffle. Attention Camp Shalom Families: The Camp Shalom late night will be on Wednesday, July 27th. Families are invited to bring a picnic dinner and join their camper(s) at 5:45 PM. Camp Shalom does not provide bus service in the afternoon on Wednesday, July 27th. If your camper is not staying for the late night program you will need to make arrangements to pick your camper up at the Goodman Campus no later than 5:45 PM. Please let us know ahead of time. There will be a camp performance after dinner that will end by 7:30 PM. Gimel (4 th and 5 th grade) campers are invited to stay for an overnight. Please fill out both parts of permission slip if your camper is in Gimel. Please fill out and return the permission slip below to inform us of the plans for your camper; all campers must return a permission slip. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Camper s Name Group # ALL Campers (Aleph, Bet & Gimel) Yes, my camper WILL be staying for the late night and our family will be bringing a picnic dinner on Wednesday, July 27. Arrangements have been made to pick him/her up at the Goodman Campus and check my camper out at the Camp Shalom office by 5:45 PM on Wednesday, July 27. Gimel Campers only (4 th & 5 th graders) Yes, my camper WILL be staying for the overnight on Wednesday, July 27. My camper will be spending the night at Camp Shalom. Please check here if you can provide a tent for your campers and how many campers does it sleep? No, my camper WILL NOT be staying for the overnight night on Wednesday, July 27.
