Itinerary Day1: Tokyo Arrival at Narita International Airport Transfer to Tokyo Hotel check-in Free day in Tokyo Our staff will be waiting to greet you at the airport. You will be transferred to Tokyo using the Narita Express, whereupon you will check into your hotel in the heart of Tokyo. You will then be given a briefing and a rundown on your itinerary. After the exhausting flight to Japan, you deserve a good rest for the remainder of the day. Drop your luggage, catch a breather, adapt to the surroundings and maybe call your family and friends at home to share your excitement. In case you have not already done so, the first day is a good opportunity to exchange your currency for yen and rent a mobile/wi-fi router. Rest well and prepare yourselves for the intensive days to follow! Day2: Tokyo Ginza Tsukiji (free time) Shibuya Harajuku Omotesando Hotel in Tokyo 09:00 - Day start Your guide will be expecting you at the lobby. Get ready to explore Tokyo! 09:30-10:30 Ginza We will start the day by taking a stroll along Ginza, a prosperous and lively urban center. The area is lined with renowned department stores and luxurious boutiques and restaurants, making it a highly popular shopping district. There are also impressive works of architecture that make for great pictures, such as the Kabuki-za Theater. At the end of the walk you will find yourselves at Tsukiji, the largest fish market in the world.
10:30-12:00 - Tsukiji (1-hour free time) At Tsukiji market you will have an hour-long break, which you can use to roam around the market area to shop for seafood products and treat yourselves to the freshest sushi meal.
12:45-13:45 Shibuya We will then take the train to Shibuya, a major shopping and entertainment area in Tokyo. The name is very well-known among visitors from overseas, and the place is almost always extremely crowded. There are two major landmarks immediately in front of the station exit. One is the famous Hachiko, the statue of the eponymous dog known for its loyalty, which is now a popular meeting spot for both locals and tourists alike. The other is the equally renowned Shibuya Crossing, where a veritable ocean of people would cross from one point to another every time the light is green. You can enjoy the sensation of being pleasantly lost amid the bustle of Shibuya, and walk along one of the pedestrian areas where the streets are lined with shops and cafés.
14:00-15:00 Harajuku Next, we will take the train to Harajuku, which is close by. Harajuku Station partitions two very contrasting areas. To its west is Meiji Jingu, a Shinto shrine dedicated to the deified spirits of Emperor Meiji and his wife, Empress Shoken. To its east is Takeshita-dori, a trendy street lined up with boutiques and local stores selling all kinds of fashion items for young people. While much of the shrine area is located deep within a vast forest, the easily accessible main gate, which is a gigantic wooden torii gate that bears the Imperial Seal of Japan, is just as much of an attraction in itself. The general tranquility of the shrine area in contrast to the hubbub of the city surrounding it is proof of the Japanese veneration toward the late Emperor. Takeshita-dori, a symbol of Harajuku as well as of Japanese teenage culture, is an interesting place with its hodgepodge of shops and stalls. Walking along the street, you will occasionally catch sight of young Japanese people clad in the most extreme fashion styles. You can also buy clothes and accessories at a bargain price, should the colorful lineup of goods interest you. 15:00-16:30 Omotesando Parallel to Takeshita-dori is Omotesando, a road in the Aoyama area that leads to and away from Meiji Jingu. Notably less cramped than its neighboring street, the avenue is nevertheless a busy one. Here you can find numerous brand stores and boutiques, as well as cafés and restaurants. The goods are relatively more expensive than those at Takeshita-dori, but the selection is eclectic in this 1-kilometer-long shopping area. The atmosphere is also more European in comparison, which makes it a classy place to take a walk in. Go wild with your shopping here!
17:00 - Back at the hotel in Tokyo After the intensive day at the major urban landscapes of Tokyo, you will return to your hotel. Your guide will brief you about the arrangements for the following day, as well as give you your tickets for Fuji-Q Highland. Rest early and rest well, because you are about to have the most exciting time at the most exciting theme park near Mt. Fuji itself! Day3: Mount Fuji Transfer to Fuji-Q Highland Free time Hotel in Tokyo 08:00 - Day start Time to have a blast at an award-winning theme park near the base of Mt. Fuji! You will take the bus from Shinjuku station to Fuji-Q Highland.
10:20 - Arrival at Fuji-Q Highland Fuji-Q Highland is an amusement park that is situated close to the base of Mt. Fuji. Naturally, that means that you can usually spot the great mountain s unmistakable features in the background. The park itself is full of interesting attractions, many of which have been world-record holders at some point. Three of the roller coasters still boast the number one title as of today. They are roller coasters with the fastest acceleration, the most number of inversions, and the steepest dropping angle respectively. Other than that, there are also a number of anime-based attractions, such as Gundam Crisis and Evangelion World.
10:20-16:40 - Free time With your 1-day free pass, you can enjoy most of the attractions here for free with very few exceptions. Some will laugh, others will scream, but this amusement park is unmistakably one of the best places to enjoy together with your friends. Members of your group can also go separate ways and meet up later at a rendezvous point if they want to try different attractions from the non-exhaustive list. Take note, however, that the lines at some attractions may be extremely long due to their popularity. 19:00 - Back at the hotel in Tokyo After all the thrill and adrenaline rush, you will return to your hotel in Tokyo by bus. The excitement does not end here, however. You can start making plans for your following free day! Day4: Tokyo Free day in Tokyo This is your chance to do the Japanese things you have heard so much about, your way! You might want to do the hip and happening stuff by visiting places you have yet to visit, such as Akihabara, paradise for anime lovers and tourists in search of consumer electronics. Alternatively, you can also enjoy some of the cultural aspects of Japan, such as visiting the oldest and most significant Buddhist temple of Tokyo at Asakusa. The possibilities are endless!
