TAC REPORT Nil QHRP REPORT Nil GENERAL BUSINESS Three representatives from the recently formed Wide Bay Car Enthusiasts Club Inc. presented the club s history & aims. The club originated as a Holden based club, but eventually opened up to vehicles of all makes & types. Pre 49 street rods, 50 s thru 80 s classics and late model cars, now form the club line-up. Affiliating to the A.S.R.F., will hopefully attract more interest from owners of A.S.R.F. class vehicles. The Aim of the club is to promote the lifestyle of Hot Rodding, and responsible, safe enthusiast motoring with a wish to engage & help young people with their car builds. A vote was taken to accept the W.B.C.E.C. as an affiliated club. Vote was passed unanimously. Welcome guys & girls, to the A.S.R.F. Gerard advised that the A.S.R.F. N.C.C. Annual General Meeting was to be held on the Gold Coast, over the coming week-end. Col gave a Beachfest report, for the 2017 event. Council has indicated that a grant is again available, & an application form has been received, the 3 bands from this year have confirmed their involvement, some sponsors have signed up, art-work has been approved, and work is under way to secure an area for vintage caravan use. This may also allow for extra camp space for regular caravaners. Steve Coade advised that he has imported stock of chassis, diffs, front ends st. columns etc. to cater for your street rod building needs.( All certified and approved) Contact Steve @ Early Times Parts for what he has in stock and coming soon.
4 There will be a Regional DC Meeting at Bargara Beach rod Run on Sunday 2 nd October at the Rum City Rodders Clubrooms following the Show n Shine. New secretary. # Rods Inc. Very quiet at present # Good Times Club members cruisin & doin # Wide Bay C.E.C. Cruises in the area, looking forward to event at end of month to raise funds for cancer. All individual members are welcome to attend DC meetings and express their opinions. Members are again invited to peruse the ASRF website where all States DC minutes are posted in the members section. DC minutes are sent to all Clubs and interested persons monthly.
