2 Product News Ensure yourself through Amadeus Insurance Amadeus Insurance enables a travel agent to book Insurance products such as cancellation, luggage, assistance, and multi risk insurance. Using the Amadeus Central system, requests for Amadeus insurance are sent to a host system, that returns the premium price and books the policy. USP s Of this product are: 1. Integration into Amadeus PNR 2. Just few entries and an insurance is booked 3. GUI version and Cryptic available in Vista. 4. No Internet connection required Tasks that can be undertaken 1. Display a list of providers with whom you have an agreement. Entry IL 2. Display a list of Amadeus Insurance products relevant to a provider. Entry IIBAL-for Bajaj Allianz, IIAIGfor Tata Aig, IIICI-for ICICI, IICMS-for Cholamandalam. 3. Display the features pertaining to a particular product of a provider. Entry IF 4. Confirm a sale after completing all aspects of a PNR Segment No/HK e.g. 2/HK 5. Display and print an Amadeus Insurance certificate. We have currently 4 Providers online on us: 1. TATA AIG - (Offering Annual plans based on per trip limit / short term plans (Silver, Gold or Platinum) for individuals for both Including America and Excluding America. 2. BAJAJ ALLIANZ - (Offering student plans / plans for senior citizens / short term plans / annual plans for individuals and family plans. 3. ICICI - Offering annual plans based on per trip limit / family plans / short term plans for individuals/student plans including and excluding America. WHATS NEW 4. Chola Mandalam has revamped their product structure and have come up with - (annual plans / short term plans, family plans and student plans for (Excluding and Including America and for Asia Pacific excluding Japan. For further details contact: ddasgupta@amadeus.co.in SOME POINTS TO REMEMBER Incase an access has been revoked and you don t get to see the access of the insurance provider which you are online with when you do an IL entry-please CONTACT PROVIDER Please ensure that the insurance PNR is complete in all aspects- Having both confirmation number as well as the Amadeus PNR. No cancellations can be done in the Amadeus system after an insurance segment is confirmed. Please contact the provider directly for cancellations.

Vista 2.2p212 is the latest version of the Amadeus browser based point of sale solution for travel professionals New features and implementations: Users can easily create documents composed of different Amadeus displays or a combination of free flow text and Amadeus displays and send them by email. 4. Amadeus Vista now supports Windows XP SP2 5. You can now update the Validating airline (FV), Form of payment (FP), Commission (FM), Tour code (FT), Endorsement (FE), Original issue (FO) elements directly from the TST display. 1. Integration of Live Chat in the vista command page Agents requiring help desk assistance can simply click on the icon and get connected to a help desk executive immediately! No cost and no time lost! 2. Sell the World with Amadeus Vista Visit the Amadeus India website www.amadeus.co.in to experience the Amadeus Vista Sell the World campaign. You can view a demo, request for a sales visit or just go through the product features by clicking on the Sell the World campaign 3. E-Mail & Itinerary Script Integration Experience the ease of sending out itineraries in foreign languages through the graphical Email script integration. Caution: Pay attention to the Last Date to Ticket (LD) indicator on the cryptic TST screen. This tells you the last date by which you must issue the ticket. This indicator does not appear yet on the graphic TST 6. Migration of TEMPO HOST KEYS into VISTA SMART KEYS It is now possible to export the Host Keys from your Tempo environment as Smart Keys into your Vista terminal. 4 Product News News from the world of Ticketing 1. IATA India starts the all India Domestic BSP pilot with all major domestic airlines effective 01May05 2. LH removes the FOID restriction on travel to Scandinavian sectors - for more details see the HEETTLH pages and GGAIRLHETKT page 3. CANN transactions in e-ticketing no longer cause a decrement in the airline ticket quota table 4. Sri Lanka goes online with full fledged BSP operations effective 1st July 2005 5. New e-ticketing Airlines Cathay Pacific, Virgin Atlantic, Sahara and Japan Airlines are the latest airlines to join the Amadeus bandwagon of electronic ticketing. It can now be displayed in the TGETD-IN pages where all the e-ticket airlines are listed AA AC AF AZ BA BD CI CO CX DL HR JL KL LH LX QF SQ S2 UA US VS > In case the airline is prohibited for ticketing/eticketing in your agency, contact the airline for authorisation. 6. Ticket Limits In case of delays in ticket quota updates, ask the airline for the request id number. Our helpdesk can advise you the exact status of your request based on the request id 7. PLUS E-TICKET Amadeus +e-ticket is a graphical application that runs on the front office products like Protempo or Vista. This script based product checks the presence of mandatory ticketing elements and automatically issues a ticket. For more details please contact amadeus products or email at: charu@amadeus.co.in Important guidelines regarding e-ticket refunds 1 Automated refunds should be processed only by trained personnel. It is important to remember that e-ticket refund status R cannot be reversed once the refund processing has started. 2. Display the electronic ticket you want to refund by the TWD entry. Use the TWREF entry to start the refund processing. Update the RAF charges or other penalties as required. The TRFP entry must be done to complete refund processing. Without this the refund will not get registered. 3. To cross check that the ticket has been refunded, look up the TJQ report where the transaction code for the ticket should show as RFND 4. Electronic tickets issued on Amadeus should be refunded through automated refunds process on Amadeus only. 5. In case the airline has issued any specific guidelines towards e-ticket refunds, please adhere to them while processing the refund. Important Enhancement: Itineraries with upto 60 taxes can now be priced! You can now auto price itineraries that contain more than 15 taxes and upto a maximum of 60 taxes and issue their corresponding tickets! This implementation represents a significant improvement in agent s productivity and avoids errors. Such itineraries can now be issued automatically either as e-tickets or as paper tickets, provided their fare calculation fits within the limitation enforced by IATA. NEW Domestic Airlines like Air Sahara join Amadeus e-ticketing for Indian Domestic sectors (Details on page 6)

6 Product News Air Sahara allows e-ticketing exclusively on Amadeus e With effect from 08 September 2005 you would be able to issue electronic tickets on Air Sahara (S2) for the domestic sectors which are flagged with E indicator on the S2 flights.
