Professional Care Training In Professional Care Training you will review the information learned in Self-Care Training and acquire the skills for applying the Arvigo Techniques to your own clients in your professional practice setting. Completing Professional Training will prepare you to begin developing experience and documentation to qualify you to attend Certification Training where you can become a fully certified Arvigo practitioner. General Information for Arvigo Classes Please read all the information in this mailing before contacting the office with questions. It contains all you need to know about attending this class. The following policies apply to Arvigo Institute classes: If you need to contact us about the class, direct questions to the Institute office either by email at office@arvigotherapy.com or by phone at 603.588.2571 from 9am-3pm Eastern Standard Time Monday through Friday. While classes are in session, response from the office is limited. Don t wait until a day or two before class starts to ask important questions! All balances must be paid on or before 30 days prior to the starting date of the class. A deposit of $300 is required to secure your space in the class. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. If a cancellation is made less than 30 days before the first day of class, no refund is available. If a cancellation is made prior to 30 days before the class begins, refunds are limited to funds paid on your account in excess of the deposit. Documentation for Professional Care Training: We require a copy of your professional license and/or certificate and resume/curriculum vitae. Contact the office regarding eligibility. We must receive these 2 weeks prior to the date of the workshop. The Arvigo Institute, LLC reserves the right to cancel any class up to 14 days prior to the first day of the class. Where is the class being held? The Bishop s Ranch, Healdsburg, California.N.H The Bishop s Ranch is a retreat and conference center in the heart of Sonoma County s Russian River Valley. It is a unique gathering place for groups and individuals. The Bishop s Ranch is dedicated to offering an environment that supports opportunities for relaxation, contemplation and personal growth. The Bishop s Ranch is 75 miles North of San Francisco. How will I get to the Center? If you are driving, the address is 5297 Westside Road, Healdsburg, CA 95448. Coming from the South: Take 101 North to the Central Healdsburg Exit. At the second stop light, make a hard left onto Mill Street which becomes Westside Road. Drive approximately 5 miles. Just beyond the Bucher Dairy, look for The Bishop s Ranch sign on the right. Coming from the North: Take 101 South to the Westside Road/Guerneville Exit. Turn right onto Westside Road and continue 5 miles to The Bishop s Ranch entrance.
By air: The closest airport to The Bishop s Ranch is the Charles M. Schulz- Sonoma County Airport (Airport code: STS) in Santa Rosa, CA. From the San Francisco Airport (SFO) and the Oakland Airport (OAK) there is an Airport Express to the Charles M. Schulz- Sonoma County Airport. Both San Francisco and Oakland Airports are about 2 hours from the Sonoma County Airport. The Arvigo Institute arranges one shuttle on the arrival date, November 3rd, to Bishop s Ranch which leaves the Charles M. Schulz- Sonoma County Airport at 3:30pm. Schedule a flight or airport express that arrives by 3pm to allow time to get luggage and find the shuttle. Contact the office by October 15 th to reserve a seat on the arrival shuttle. Payment is due at the time of reservation and is non-refundable. For departure on November 8 th schedule departing flights for 4:30pm or after. The Institute arranges one shuttle for departure from the Bishop s Ranch to the Charles M. Schulz- Sonoma County Airport. Shuttle departure time is determined by flight times, but is not earlier than 2pm. Reservations for the departure shuttle will be made during the workshop. Payment is due at the time of reservation and is non-refundable. If you are not able to meet these times, you will have to arrange your own transportation to and from the Bishops Ranch. Car rentals are available at the airport. What is the class schedule? Overnight Room: CHECK-IN: 4:00 P.M. Dinner is at 6:30 pm. Arrival Date: November 3, 2013 Evening schedule will be from 7:30 9:00 pm (the first night) Class begins each day at 9:00 am with a 90 minute mid-day break for lunch. Class ends each day at 6:00pm*. Times may be adjusted depending on the group. *Evening sessions may apply and are TBD. Departure Day: November 8, 2013 The class ends on November 8 th at 12:15pm. What Should I Bring? For the workshop, loose fitting clothing (without zippers!) that doesn t restrict movement. Slippers or similar footwear for indoor use. Comfortable clothes that you can layer for warm days and cool evenings, i.e. warm socks, a sweater or light jacket, rain gear, etc. Set of sheets and a face place cover for your use during bodywork sessions. Alarm clock. Flashlight is a must. Hair dryer if desired. Swim suit and towel for pool use. Walking shoes. Massage Table if you are driving. Please notify the office if you are able to bring a table. About the Center? (Map of center on page 5) Overnight Guests: Overnight guests are provided lodging and meals beginning with dinner on the arrival day. Our meal service with the center concludes with lunch on the departure day. Daily snacks, herbal teas, and other nibbling foods are provided during breaks. Linens, the center asks all guest to make their own beds to help reduce costs of retreats. Please place used linens and towels in the hampers provided when you depart. Leave blankets, mattress covers and bedspreads on the bed as you found them. Ranch quiet hours are from 10pm to 7am. Our group is lodging in the Webb Lodge. Lodging and Meals Fee: $630 Double Occupancy Meals: Meals are varied prepared by the Center s chef and served buffet style in the dining hall (Refectory). Meal times are: 8 am, 12:30pm, and 6:30pm. The center addresses dietary needs within their capacity including vegetarian, dairy free, wheat free and gluten free. The Center accommodates dietary requests on a best effort basis. Be sure to fill out the workshop checklist at the end of this letter and return to the Institute office at least 30 days before the class. Internet: Wi-Fi is available in the Refectory, The Swing Pavilion, and Ranch office. Our group will be meeting for class in The Swing Pavilion. TVs/Telephones/Cell Phones: Each meeting space is equipped with a telephone to reach the Ranch staff and to dial locally. Long distance calls may be made using a calling card. There is cell phone reception at the Ranch for most carriers. There are no TVs or telephones in bedrooms. Pets: Pets are not allowed at the Bishop s Ranch; please make arrangements to leave your pets at home. Worship: Guests are cordially invited to worship in the Chapel. Sunday Eucharist is celebrated at 9am. We also offer daily prayer offices. Morning prayer begins at 7:30am. Evening prayer is at 6pm. Swimming Pool: Guests are welcome to the use the pool, in season, at your own risk. No lifeguard is on duty. Please use the buddy system. When in the pool area, children and youth must be directly supervised by a designated adult at all times (at least one for every five children). The pool is locked when not in use; pool key is available in the office for sign-out by an adult, who is responsible for returning it to the office. Please make sure both gates are securely closed when leaving the pool area.
Smoking: FIRE is an ever-present threat. For the sake of all Ranch guests please do not smoke in buildings. When smoking outdoors always use ash trays and please be cautious, especially in the dry season. Library: There is a small library on the ground floor of the Ranch House for everyone to enjoy. Please return books before leaving. Valuables: The center recommends keeping valuables in your car and locking your car while at the Ranch. Neighbors: To keep good relations with the Ranch neighbors, stay on The Bishop s Ranch property. Trail maps are available in the office.
