HOTEL Rimonim Neve Ativ +972-4-6985888 Website http://english.rimonim.com/hermon-hotels/rimonim-hermon-holiday-village DAY 2 HERMON MT. TO THE SEA OF GALILEE

TOUR ITINERARY Starting from our hotel, we will begin our ride using one of the highest roads in Israel, descending down towards the southern part of the Golan Heights. On our way down we will cruise through one of the local Druze villages, Masada, well known for its authentic Druze delights, perfect as a bicycle ride starter. After filling our taste glands with sweet candy, we will continue our drop via the scenic route of the Odem Forest, which during the winter time is filled with berries you can stop and feast on. Crossing the forest on the twisting scenic road along the Hula Valley, you will be filled with the breathtaking volcanic, black rock of the Golan Mountains. One of the most active grounds, several million years ago, the fertile, dimpled, rock face holds one of the richest grounds in Israel, allowing a variety of colors to grow and flourish. Continuing our descent, we will pass through the city of Kazerin, recognized as the capital of the Golan Heights. This small city holds a rich historical background and very good places, perfectly suitable for those with exquisite taste for red meat mixed with excellent wine. Stopping on the outskirts of the city for some refreshments, we will fill up with energy and then drop down towards the Sea of Galilee through Gamla, an ancient Jewish city in the Golan Heights. Inhabited since the Early Bronze Age, it is believed to have been founded as a Seleucid fort during the Syrian Wars. The site of a Roman siege during the Great Revolt of the 1st century CE, Gamla is a symbol of heroism for the modern state of Israel and an important historical and archaeological site. Arriving at the bottom, we will cruise along the coastline, getting a great view of the water line from up close. We will finish our ride at Nachom Beach, where you will relax your legs in the cool water of the lake, letting yourself to recap on all the incredible sites you've seen. HOTEL Tiberius Leonardo Plaza +972-4-6713333 Website: http://www.fattal-hotels.com/hotelltr.aspx?resortid=52&langid=2 DAY 3 TIBERIUS TO GILBOA MOUNTAIN

TOUR ITINERARY Starting from the higher parts of the city Tiberius, over viewing the shores of the Sea of Galilee and Descending down into the Jordan Valley, we will pass through the Baptize site "Yardenit". Also, our ride will cross through the town of Kinneret. This small village right on the coast is one of the first settlements of modern Israel. Riding further into the Jordan Valley, we will enjoy some small hills along the route which will provide a perfect warm-up before reaching the climb of the day. The base of the climb will be at the ancient city of Beit She'an, which dates back to the Egyptian Period, and is one of the historically rich destinations in the Middle East. Beit She'an has been the gatekeeper for centuries in the northern borders of Israel, as it is situated at the gateway of the Jezreel Valley and the Jordan Valley, basically separating the interior from the coast and Jerusalem from the Galilee. After learning the city's role in history, we will begin our ride to the top of Mount Gilboa, which borders the southern part of the Jezreel Valley. This 7k climb is a feast for the eyes and a furnace for the legs simultaneously. The breathtaking views over the Jezreel Valley cultivating grounds, the city of Beit She'an and of course the neighboring country of Jordan, is an experience that can only be greatly valued from the saddle of the bike. At the top of the climb we will reach the end point for the day's ride, and will enjoy a refreshing meal overlooking the marvelous sights of the ancient valleys below. After a relaxing cool-down, we will get in the vans and reach our hotel for a lovely relaxing and a well deserved dinner. HOTEL Ma'ale HaHamisha Ma'ale HaHamisha +972-4-6985888 Website: http://www.maale5.co.il/en/ DAY 4 REST DAY - TOURING JERUSALEM

Jerusalem - One of the greatest cities in the world. Its infamous rich history dates back over 3000 years ago when the first cornerstone was placed. The city is a place that surprises you every time you come to it. Its secrets are still hidden away in its walls, waiting for men to encode them. Jewish history is engraved in the walls of the old temple, Via Dolorosa and the Christian quarter are filled with Christian creation, and Muslim symbols make the city rich with stars and beauty. Truly a place for everyone. When arriving in Jerusalem we will enjoy a day filled with its history and enchanting life and culture. You will experience the city like never before, if this is your 1st or 10th time in it. A professional tour guide will lead us through its packed streets and narrow markets, while running us through some of its most enchanting bits of historical importance. After the tour you'll be free to travel around with your group mates and enjoy what the city has to offer. Jerusalem is truly an experience that holds its own and lasts with you for a life time. HOTEL Ma'ale HaHamisha Ma'ale HaHamisha +972-4-6985888 Website: http://www.maale5.co.il/en/

TOUR ITINERARY DAY 5 JUDEA TO THE DEAD SEA Leaving the hotel in the Genesis Vans, we will have a short drive to the starting point where we will deploy the bikes in the popular cyclists gathering point in the heart of the "Ella Valley", or "The Valley of the Oak". From its name it is easy to imagine the sights that will fulfill your eyes when arriving. The valley is said to have witnessed the historical battle between David and Goliath. Departing eastwards, we will head on a Tuscan type road towards one of the most isolated roads in Israel. This new placed tarmac, will allow us to "open the taps" and enjoy some high quality "playing time". The road runs parallel to the security fence which was laid down several years ago. This constant reminder of the ongoing conflict provides a symbolic image for Israel's long going fight for its existence. After enjoying the wonderful open road, we will finish the first part of the day's ride at Sansana. Sansana is a religious communal settlement, which was built in 1997 in the southern Hebron Hills of the West Bank. Enjoying some refreshments over the 360 degrees scenic views, will prepare our legs for the final part of the day. A short van trip will take us to the city of Arad, located 600 meters above sea level. From Arad we will begin a 25 kilometer downhill section to the lowest place on earth, the worldly renowned Dead Sea. The feeling that is provided from this breathtaking experience can only be described as "the ultimate sensation". Traveling down on a perfect slice of tarmac, losing a staggering 1k in elevation reaching under -400 meters below sea level, with the biblical sights of the dead sea and Jordanian red mountains in the backdrop, truly bring a tear to the eye. Heading to the bottom of the descent, reaching the hotel and enjoying the wonderful relaxing nature of the Dead Sea, will allow you to reflect on the incredible Genesis experience you've gained along the day's routes. This 6k climb is a "step by step" type climb that gets harder as you climb higher. The climb ends at the city of Yeruham, where an authentic, three course meal will be provided by a local Israeli family. After enjoying the authentic plates, we will ride the vans for 30 minutes to one of the special spots in the Negev, Sede Boker. ATE INFORMATION Generally speaking, the weather in most of Israel is not extreme at any standard, so that the Israeli winter is at best what some would call "Autumn". As for the Israeli summer, well - that's a different story... Summer in Israel is HOT and in most of the country it is humid as well. December January February: Winter General Weather description: This is what we call winter. That means temperatures of between 5-18 Degrees centigrade in Tel Aviv which are 41 to 65 Degrees Fahrenheit. It may get colder around the Jerusalem and Golan Heights mountains to a level of 0 (34 Degrees Fahrenheit) Degrees centigrade at night. What to wear: a good fleece jacket will do the job. Those of you who are always cold would want to bring a warm coat. For cycling, warm clothing is also recommended. March - April May: Spring General Weather Description: The nicest season of the year, with very comfortable weather. Temperature in Tel Aviv is usually between 16 to 24 Degrees centigrade which are 61 to 75 Degrees Fahrenheit. Jerusalem and the Golan Heights are approximately 3 degrees centigrade colder (5.5 Degrees Fahrenheit), and Eilat is usually 3 degrees centigrade warmer. What to Wear: On some of the days you may want a long T-shirt and a light jacket, while on other days a short sleeve T-shirt will do. So, Bring a good range of generally light clothes. For cycling, warm but light clothing is recommended, you may use arm and leg warmers, long sleeve jersey or a wind stopper and even a rain jacket can be useful from time to time. June - July August (and sometimes September): Summer General Weather Description: Summer is hot in Israel! We usually speak of the heat in terms of temperature + humidity, not only temperature. As for weather conditions: Temperature in Tel Aviv is usually between 24 to 35 Degrees centigrade which are 75 to 95 Degrees Fahrenheit. Jerusalem and the Golan Heights are approximately 3 degrees centigrade colder (5.5 Degrees Fahrenheit), and Eilat is usually 3 degrees centigrade warmer. Keep in mind that in very hot days, which we usually get during the month of August, the temperature in Tel-Aviv may rise to 35 degrees centigrade which is 95 degrees Fahrenheit mixed with 95% humidity. In Jerusalem those days are as hot, but without the humidity, and in Eilat temperature may even climb up to 45 degrees (113 Fahrenheit), but without the humidity. What to Wear: Short, light, no sleeve, anything you can think of to cope with this mad summer. September - October November: Autumn General Weather Description: Some will argue and say that this is the nicest season of the year in Israel. Temperature in Tel Aviv is usually between 16 to 24 Degrees centigrade which are 61 to 75 Degrees Fahrenheit.
