APOLOGIES Provost Hall and Councillor McQuade. OBITUARY The Convener referred with sadness to the recent death of Gordon Lethorn who represented Bridge of Weir Tenants & Residents' Association and on behalf of the Committee offered his condolences to the family. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST Councillor Audrey Doig declared an interest in item 7 of the agenda in relation to the application for Local Area Committee (LAC) funding submitted by Renfrewshire Sports Network as she was an employee of Renfrewshire Leisure Limited and indicated her intention not to take part in any discussion or voting thereon. 1 COMMUNITY SAFETY AND PUBLIC PROTECTION - PROGRESS UPDATE There was submitted a report by the Director of Community Resources providing a progress update on activities of the Safer & Stronger Renfrewshire and Community Safety Partnership carried out in the Houston, Crosslee, Linwood, Riverside and Erskine LAC area during the period 1 January to 31 March 2016. The report provided information on Houston, Crosslee, Linwood, Riverside and Erskine community safety statistics; environmental enforcement and improvement activities; protecting vulnerable residents and a spotlight on the work of the Alcohol and Drug Partnership. DECIDED: That the report be noted. 2 STREET STUFF ANNUAL REPORT/FUNDING REQUEST There was submitted a report by the Director of Community Resources seeking an award of 5,000 funding for the Street Stuff Programme. The report intimated that Street Stuff had been delivering activities in Renfrewshire since 2009, during which they had contributed to a sustained reduction in reported youth disorder and anti-social behaviour. Over the last few years the LAC had been keen to consider funding additional activities within their area which would allow additional sessions to be programmed within communities that were not identified at a Renfrewshire level as areas that had a particular problem with anti-social behaviour or children living in poverty. Given the scale of the core programme the report requested that a contribution of 5,000 per LAC area be considered, which was similar to the contribution in previous years. This funding would contribute to the costs of delivery of up to two activity sessions per week within the LAC area, through the peak summer, autumn and spring months, as well as attendance at local gala days and fetes.

DECIDED: That 5,000 be awarded to the Street Stuff Programme to contribute towards the costs of additional activity sessions within the LAC area as well as attendance at local gala days and fetes. 3 OPEN SESSION/KEY LOCAL ISSUES The Senior Committee Services Officer (LACs) advised that no questions had been submitted for consideration at the Open Session. DECIDED: That it be noted that no questions had been submitted for consideration at the Open Session. 4 GLASGOW & CLYDE VALLEY CITY DEAL - CLYDE WATERFRONT & RENFREW RIVERSIDE AND GLASGOW AIRPORT INVESTMENT AREA N Yardley, Project Manager City Deal gave a presentation on the Clyde Waterfront & Riverside project and the Glasgow Airport Investment area. DECIDED: That the presentation be noted. 5 PAISLEY 2021 - UPDATE S Thomson, Creative Producer of the Paisley 2021 Bid Team Paisley gave a presentation on Paisley s bid to become UK City of Culture 2021. DECIDED: That the presentation be noted. 6 BUDGET MONITORING REPORT There was tabled an amended report by the Director of Finance & Resources relative to the Houston, Crosslee, Linwood, Riverside And Erskine LAC budget for 2016/17, totalling 111,840 and consisting of 71,660 General Grant Fund and 40,180 Youth Challenge Fund. The appendix to the report detailed the expenditure committed by the LAC in 2015/16. It was noted that the total value of grant applications to be considered at this meeting of the LAC exceeded available budget resources.
