You can also add pictures of trips and events you have been on, as well as telling us what you think of the Staff Association and what events you would like. SAM December 2011 The AGM Page 3 The Staff Association AGM was held on Thursday 17 November 2011 in the Council Chamber. Drinks and nibbles were provided. There were no changes to the constitution proposed and no other particular matters to discuss. Any other business brought about a variety of discussions with members regarding knowledge of the website/facebook pages, the kind of events members would like to attend and how far ahead these events were organised and publicised. They were useful discussions and the Executive and Social Committee s have taken these away to discuss, proving the importance of the AGM and the opportunity for members to have their say. Thank you to all who attended. Minutes and reports are available on the UEASA website or from the Secretary. Discounts Galore! This is a trip for the whole family and includes a guided tour of the museum. RAF Museum London has a world-class collection and display of aircraft in several exciting and interactive exhibitions. The film & sound collection has some seven million feet of film dating from the pioneering days of aviation to the present day and the photograph collection contains about 250,000 images. The fine art collection is arguably the best collection of military aviation artwork in the UK and represents the people, aircraft, equipment and 'Service Life' of the RAF. The medal collection encompasses all orders, decorations and medals and compliments the uniform collection, which is particularly strong on the First and Second World Wars. There is a separate exhibition on at the time of our visit called Sport in the RAF. This examines the participation of service members throughout the RAF's history in the Olympics and Commonwealth Games - as well as the day to day importance that Sport has in RAF service life. This elegant villa, remodeled by Robert Adam in the 18th century, houses a superb collection of paintings, including masterpieces by Rembrandt, Vermeer, Turner and Gainsborough, as well as the Suffolk collection of rare Elizabethan portraits. Don t miss the famous Adam Library with its beautiful friezes and grand colonnades. The landscape was designed to be seen from a planned circuit walk that provided a series of evocative views, contrasts and "surprises" for which Repton was well known. One of today's greatest and most delightful "surprises" is to find this gentleman's estate complete with farm, dairy, stables, kitchen garden, lakes, woods and meadows still surviving so close to the centre of London. Bordered on three sides by Hampstead Heath, the Kenwood estate, having been maintained as a designed landscape until the 1950s, has a different character from the Heath. Kenwood is Grade II* on the English Heritage 'Register of Parks and Gardens of Special Historic Interest'.
